  4. Requests:

From the beginning I have asked about Boolean seach capabilities for VV. Right now every search criteria can only use the "and" criteria. There are many times that disjunctive criteria ("or") would be highly useful. For example sell if price drops below the stop price or if its 30 day EMA drops below its 90 day EMA.

The search limitations within Pro Trader need to be expanded to allow using the full range of fields. To use part of the example above, a filter that says "30EMA > 90EMS. Now there is no way I can see to take

  7. The relative timing chart is basically coincident with equity price as i understand it. My statistics (and higher math) is rusty, but a second timing indicator using second derivatives might show the inflection points. ie the change in the rate of change as I recall. We want to get closer to a "leading indicator" of sorts subject to the usual caveats of course.

  8. Yodlee is th engine behind mint.com and similar portfolio monitors used by Bank of America, Fidelity, T Rowe Price and others. Quicken uses their own protocol I believe. You wouldn't need to do data entry once the accounts were linked.

  9. VectorVest is an excellent analysis tool giving me the information I need to trade stocks and options - SMARTLY.

However, to put your strategies to work I have to have my trading account open while working wthin your application. When I decide to take action, my trading account has timed out forcing me to start over get to my trading platform.

It would be great to have VectorVest initiate my trade with my brokerage account in some way so my trades are more timely.

As an alternative, how about simply providing a training webinar that would show methods on using…

  13. Use letters for months instead of numbers, e.g Jan, Feb, Nov, Dec, etc. This will avoid confusion between US and International formats.

  14. I am comparing VV EPS versus Yahoo again. Here are some examples:
    VV Yahoo 2011
    ASYS 1.8 2.06
    HIG 2.98 3.77
    PCLN 16.74 17.66
    GOOG 32.88 33.76
    PPO 0.96 1.65
    SLW 1.27 1.48
Some stocks in Yahoo have 2012 which is even more off than the above versus VV.

Another problem - the sales estimate is way off. I would like to search for increases in sales estimates but I cannot do it because the sales are so far off. The sales data appears to be last years data.

  19. It would be nice to have some theory or thoughts on how best to enter the trade. With the Portfolio Manager it is based on Price of Today's Close or Tomorrow's Open. Tomorrow's Open could be quite a bit higher than the close and based on stock price could cut in to the profit. Is there a strategy for creating limit orders? You have the courses for Stop Losses, but one for the Buy side would be great.

  20. I turn on Extended Hours each and every time I open VV7. 50% of the time I click 'Restore Defaults' after checking this option because that button is more prominent than the 'OK' button. That or allow us keep Extended Hours checked.
