Moving average of Market Cap does not always return the correct values.
I created a custom field to take a 26 week moving average Market Cap. When looking at UniSearch results I found that for many stocks the values returned made no sense to me.
As an example, NVDA is part of Semiconductor Manufacturing. The range of market cap on the industry over the last 26 week is between $9B-$11B but the custom field reports $16B in Unisearch.

When build a custom field need to have the options: Moving Avg, Lowest, Highest
I would like to have the option when build a custom field to select from a drop down list the following:
1. " Moving AVG "
2. "LOWEST"
3. "HIGHEST"
value for any field. Particularly i would like to know the above values for any stock's P/E. Thank you.1 vote -

For price technicals I want the current value not what is was.
When I pick price and I can search on technicals I want what the current value is at that time. So, if I am searching for RSI I can say RSI(2) < 5 and not worry about what it was 1 or many days ago.

Moving custom uniSearches between platforms.
I would like to be able to save and move a custom unisearch written on VV Canada to VV US (and vice versa). Now each custom search must be rewritten within each platform.

give us back the ability to add a specific number of items from a search to a watchlist
We used to be able to add a specific number of items from a unisearch to a watchlist. For example the top 180 stocks. (I did a top 10% of items this way. If unisearch returned 1796 items I could then just export the top 10% by asking for 180 items. Version 7 is incapable of doing this. I have to go back to 6 to do it.

Unisearch Strategies and Folders
There are maybe over 200 strategies in Unisearch. When these are referred to in Derby or SOTW etc., it is so frustrating and time consuming to locate them under the correct folder in Unisearch. In addition there are some strategies in Derby that do not appear to be in Unisearch.Some users have suggested either a Search button or an additional "Folder" column in Derby. I would like instead that Vector Vest prepares an Excel or pdf format table. The first column would be the Name of the Strategy, the second column, the appropriate Folder in Unisearch, the third column will…

Provide search for rising stocks in rising industry and rising sectors.
I believe it will be a great improvement to create a new folder in uni search tab to screen for rising stocks in rising industries/sectors. The search for stocks could use the same criteria as done currently for rising industries in uni search folder. Don't forget to add falling stocks in falling industries also.

Delta Adx Searches
I would like to be able to set a delta on the ADX for a search. Example:
The yellow line would be >40
The Green line +DI <15
The Red line -DI >35
Then I could do a search where there would be a large differential between the green and red line, or visa/versa, for a potential trend change.1 vote -

how to pick the best stock within each industry? In feb22 SOW
how to pick the best stock within A industry? In feb22 SOW, 2 stocks:CP and CNR from transportation industry. How to use unisearch to limit only one stock per each top industry? I had discussed this request with your staff on Feb 28th and did not get an anwser.Also, I would like to use unisearch to list just top industries without using the industry viewer.

Create a UniSearch parameter for Fibonacci retracement, allowing the user to select minimum and maximum percentages to search the database
A parameter in UniSearch that allows a user to play with the percentages to set various retracement levels would be an awesome search tool. Imagine bringing up a group of stocks at the 50% Fib retracement after a market pullback. This would be powerful and add value to the VectorVest product.

It would be great if you had the capability to type in a symbol and could find out how many different screens (searches) your stock appears on.

Morning star and doji candlestick searches
There is an shooting star search, but for those of us that trade our 410k accounts, we can't short stocks.
