add Futures
I have been a VV subscriber for a long time and enjoy it very much. During the last year I have become a futures trader, mainly the Emini S&P, current symbol /ESH1 (on my thinkorswim platform).
What help does VV have for us futures traders? Many thanks for you assistance.

create a strategy of the week that deals with entering the market
It would be nice to have some theory or thoughts on how best to enter the trade. With the Portfolio Manager it is based on Price of Today's Close or Tomorrow's Open. Tomorrow's Open could be quite a bit higher than the close and based on stock price could cut in to the profit. Is there a strategy for creating limit orders? You have the courses for Stop Losses, but one for the Buy side would be great.

Account for Stock Volatility
On Monday 2/22 one of the top rated VST stocks was AMED.
Even though AMED has a high VST rating. I am cautious of it because of the (wild swings) the volatility in price.
I would like to recommend that this VOLATILITY in price for each stock be a very significant component in your valuation for each stock.4 votes -
RT Ranking calculation problem
Stocks should be weighted by Mkt Cap when determining RT Ranking, so that minuscule stocks don't unrealistically skew results. An example on 1/18/2010: an Industry 10-day RT Delta search shows the Mining (Uranium) Industry in position 4, mainly because URHNE (a tiny Uranium company) is up 93.3% for the day, catapulting this industry up from an RT Ranking of 168 to 4. The results are skewed and deceptive.

Need to have option to adjust for dividends in charts as well as analyses
Prices in VV are currently not adjusted for dividends. Hence, all analyses and backtesting are currently missing out this important component.
Unfortunately, there is also no setting we can toggle to turn on this adjustment.
There are plenty of lousy chart patterns in VV that turned out to be nice up trending and high CI stocks after adjusting for dividends. I now have to scan for these stocks outside of VV using a separate charting platform.
Wouldn’t it be great if we can get VV to screen these out and have dividends factored into backtesting?

Dr. Dilido has been quoted s saying "never give back more than 1/2 of your gains". I think this a good thing. We need a "DiLido stop".
The "DiLido stop" would generate a stop when there was a danger of giving up more than 1/2 of one's gains. This would be an addition to the Trading systems set under portfolios, back tester & genius.

Error in calculation of ARR
ERROR - QuickTest calculates an ARR by multiplying the calculated return R by 365/Days. This can grossly underestimate the ARR for positive returns. With negative returns, VV reports an ARR of less than -100%, which is impossible. The correct formula is:
ARR= (1+R)^(365/days) - 1Example: 3% gain or loss in one week
VV calculates ARR= 156% and -156%Correct values: 365& and -80%

E-Mail Alerts
E-Mail Alerts should give the VV parameters - P, RT, BSR, MTI Trend, Call with numeric values at the start of the trading day when the values have stabilized. This would help those who are travelling or otherwise occupied to take timely action.

Add a trailing stop function based on peak or valley levels , plus or minus a value or value %. User should be able to set the parameters fo
Currently, we have trailing stops which track a % distance from the price. I would like to see an additional type of trailing stop which tracks a % distance from the most recent peak or valley price. This would enable the user to have stops which move up or down with the price (depending on long or short trade) but the levels are kept a required distance below the most recent valley price (long trade) or above most recent peak price (short trade). User should be able to determine 1. the % parameter above or below the peak or valley…

I'd like to suggest to make it possible for more analysis of the color guard data.
Many of the requests regarding Color Guard relate directly to my own - more history available of the daily color guard status. Unfortunately, because there are so many similar requests, each only have a few votes. But reading the others gives me the idea that perhaps a whole tab could be devoted to tools for analyzing and reporting the color guard - things like more history depth, querying, including relationship to other signals, exporting (or copy). These have all been mentioned previously as color guard related requests. Maybe they could all be consolidated into one place - a new tab,…

MACD
In Protrader we can only see the MACD crossing above the signal line in the past 5 days, however it would be of great value if we could set "MACD currently crossed above the signal line", no matter when it happend in the past.
