Please place the new timing system into simulator so we can test with it....keep it more current please
I like to use the simulator to backtest ideas...but it seems to lag in its updates. Can you put the newest timing system into the simulator and keep it more current. Ideally it would combine with the Real time system or use its own set of data so we would not have to keep the Prographics updated all the time since we don't really use that program if we have real time. Thanks.

Add the Midas Touch watchlist to VectorVest Prographics 6
PLEASE! Make the Midas Touch watchlist available to VectorVest Prographics 6 so that the Simulator can run tests against it.
At present, the hottest idea in VectorVest cannot be tested at all in the Simulator.

intraday stops
If we can't get VV7 simulator / variator in 2014 maybe we can get intraday stops added to the VV6 simulator / variator. The new sure fired success strategies perform much better with intraday stops (VV7) vs end of day stops in the VV6 simulator / variator. It would be great to test different stop combinations.

options
Make it to where users can build options strategies with the simulator and variator . With the simulator and variator I believe I found the best stock strategies that Vectorvest offers. I would like to do the same with options.

create the ability to ease into a maximum number of positions up to a max.
example would be to buy 2 stocks/day up to a maximum of 10. Currenlty you can initially buy 2 stocks on the 1st day, but then the simulator buys the remaining 8 positions on the second day.

Manual Trade simulator
There is a product for Forex that has been quite helpful in learning to trade - ForexTester.
The product for stocks would mimic this.
The user would select a specific stock or criteria (a list as we get now with unisearch results). Lets start with a specific stock - easier to explain.
I take IBM and start on 1/1/10. I'm presented with a graph that I can add indicators to (like Graph). I'm given $100K in test money. As I click the space bar, the day's price appears. I can execute a buy or a sell. I click the space…1 vote -
Fix or remove the option to step into a new situation (e.g. 10 stocks total, 2 per day)
This feature does not work in Simulator. It does work in VV7, but there is no way to reasonably test hundreds of simulations using a step in approach in VV7. Using a $100,000 portfolio and a step of 2 stocks per day with a max of 10 stocks, the program buys 2 stocks with $50,000 each on the first day and no new trades are placed until one of them is closed, then it buys the rest (9 stocks) on the next day dividing up the available money.

Create a VV7 Simulator/Variator so we don't have to maintain a VV6 database
There is presently little reason to continue to download VV6 daily data except to maintain a database for use of the simulator and variator. A VV7 Simulator and Variator would allow me to drop the VV6 program and rely solely on VV7. And within VV7 itself, the Simulators capability of using a fixed percentage gain and a trailing stop to sell a stock needs to be added/maintained.

Modify
Modify "Not in Purchase Group" stop giving it more flexibility by allowing the user to specify when the stock is sold. For example, if you are searching for the top 10 stocks in any one search instead of selling the stock when it falls out of the top 10 why not be able to specify selling when it drops out of the top 12 or 15 or 20th position. The flexibility would be enhance an otherwise good stop.

Vary by BSR or MTI
In next version of Simulator, I would like to be able to run results of what worked best in relation to where the BSR is located. For example, say the BSR is at 1.75. The simulator could show results of what long or short searches performed the best when the BSR has been at 1.75 in the past. If there was no data in the past for BSR at 1.75, then automatically find the next closest value, show all the results for each selected long or short search and add them together. There could also be the same ability with…

Own up that the Simulator is dead -- replaced by VV7's limited toy version.
The cloud simulator of VV7 will never be able to support rigorous high-volume backtesting -- just anecdotal testing. There is no plan to implement the toteboard totals to the actual simulator. So, why pretend?

Simulations with high dividends
…I recently built a buy search and sell criteria that would buy high dividend stocks. When I reviewed the "Log" I noticed that the "Log" was not picking up the dividends. I understand that VectorVest does not know when the dividends are either "paid for the record date" or "actually paid". I recognize that it may be difficult to acquire this information but it would be very useful to add the dividends to both the "Log" and "Return" as they are being "paid for the record". Many of us are quite happy with 10% to 15% total returns per year
