Start a "real" user blog
I have read Dr. Diliddo's blog and this forum is "sort of" a blog but I think that having a true member-based community blog for VV users would be a great idea.
I believe that VV has some very knowledgable & creative users whose contribution & collaboration has the potential to make VV an even better more viable product.

In the Climate section of the end-of-week Views, add the S&P 500 Profit Margins as an Indicator.
Profit margins are better indicators of a company's strength than are earnings -- which can be (and are) more easily "managed."

Payday Portfolio, Chairman's Pick, Stock Picking, Retirement
Comparison using e.g. Top VST as a baseline. Can you do better in the given wave up by doing other methods of stock picking. Concentrate on reducing risk. e.g. repeated whipsaws demoralising for new users. Reference the period May to August 2010.

Australia based but trading US market because of greater liquidity. Options CD set not available at discount because cannot attend options course. Suggest discount on options course for those outside USA.

Go back to the old Color Guard Report
I liked the old report better. Particularly the focus on the Derby Winners. The list in the views is not as helpful as seeing the actual stocks in the list and the equity curves.

make SOTW videos available on DVD
when on vacation or travelling to foreign countries, internet access is not always available. It would be great for subscribers to be able to capture all SOTW (old and new) on DVD for continuous learning offline. Thanks for your consideration

It's nice to have the VectorVest University BUT I need workbook study, so that I can do the procedures on a daily basis. I'm not learning the procedures from V V University.8 votes -
Color Guard Rerport at the Same Time Every Night
Subscribers should not have to guess and check and re-check vector vest every night to try and watch the color guard. I feel like I am trying to get my cable hooked up!! The color guard will be shown between 7pm and 12pm, guess which one. Make it a specific time, like 8pm.

Stop explaining 'newspaper' concept every week in recorded review, time-waster!
I rarely listen to the recorded review.. Why?
I have to listen to 10 minutes of how the vectorvest page is like a newspaper, blah, blah, blah. Why not just record that explanation ONCE, and then on the weekly review just share info on the current market conditions?16 votes -

Run a contest for the best timing system that all of us can use, and backtest. This would be not just for gain, but drawdown, sharpe ratio, etc. List the top ten winning systems in vectorvest for everybody to use if desired

Closed Caption the training videos/flash presentations
Provide closed captioning for the training flash presentations and videos for those that either can't listen, for one reason or another, or want/need to read the spoken portions instead of listening to them.
In my case, I'm watching these from work because I don't have a computer at home, and cannot use the sound here due to close proximaty of other employees and a general ban of headphones.

Daily Color Guard Report Improvements
For the users more familiar with what the vector Vest color guard reports are and how to interpret the graphs and data, eliminate the explanation of how it reads like a daily newspaper, what all the parameters, basics, etc. etc. Just focus on the important data that has changed each day. Then for the new user who is not as familiar, have a basic explanation as a seperate option they can select which explains the basics and what every thing is and means. This basic explanation is the same every day anyway and would not have to be repeated each…

Retirement and 401k management strategies
Please get into greater specifics on the picking and management of retirement funds. For instance you have explained how to pick a covered call strategy, but not how to manage it when the stock decreases in value. Likewise you have suggested a good bond fund with no further explanation on how to evaluate one and how to manage it as economic conditions and market conditions change.....and conditions are always changing.
