An error occurred while saving the comment TREVOR SOLOMON commentedCrossovers occur at significant points and I am surprised that there isn't greater demand for more extensive options than currently available. For instance a crossover from several weeks ago coupled with RMA searches could identify established trends. It is my opinion also, that EMA's are more significant than SMA's

An error occurred while saving the comment TREVOR SOLOMON commentedI thought that the announcement you sent out meant that custom moving averages was now available in Vector Vest 7 but I have now been told it is only available in Pro Trader. I don't have Pro Trader and don't really need it apart from the advantage I saw in using it in Unisearch instead of just viewing MA's in graphs. I don't see any particular advantage to seeing MA's in the Viewer or Portfolios. They might be of benefit if incorporated in the backtester stop loss options

To run a backtest again after changing a parameter in the underlying search, just click on edit and then click on another unisearch search then straight away click back to the search you want to run. No need to actually run the unwanted search that you clicked on temporarily. Actually changing anything i.e. 'Stop' criteria to something else then back again resolves this problem.
