  1. It would be very helpful for visual tracking of stock buy points if we could enter the purchase date and price for any watchlist stock and have it appear as a point on the graph. Perhaps plotting the buy and sell dates from the portfolio tracker would accomplish this.

  2. It would be nice to have the Selected Graph Layout name appear either above the graph or perhaps on the graph as a watermark. This should be a user controlled setting.

  5. When selecting multiple stocks from a watchlist to view as graph, currently we can only move to the next graph using the scroll bar with our mouse. It would be a lot faster and easier to provide a keyboard shortcut to flip to the next (or previous) graph, such as using the up/down arrows, page up/ page dn buttons or the +/- buttons to flip to the next or previous chart.

  6. Every time I open VV 7, I have to redo the layout for the timing graphs. I set up 4 graphs in different timeframes. It would be nice if these settings were saved when it shut down. Unless I am missing something, there is nowhere to save a grid which contains multiple graphs in one screen layout such as this (some broker trading platforms allow for this and it would be nice if VV 7 did as well).

  7. I would like to see a monthy timeframe added to the charts. I find monthly bars helpful in determining a long term trend of a stock. These monthly bars should provide data for the specific calendar month, thus if only 3 days of a month have data, then only the first three days are used. Of course for all the previous months, the full calendar month data is used. Likewise, I know some investors who find it helpful to look at quarterly bars too.

  8. The following is from bullishbears.com:

The VWAP trading strategy is a common indicator traders use. VWAP stands for volume weighted average price. It’s used for short term trading. It’s a highly efficient and simple method.

Traders use it as support and resistance in a short time frame. You use it to assess the direction or trend of the stock. VWAP is calculated by adding up the dollar amount traded for every trade transaction (price multiplied by number of shares traded) and then dividing by the total shares traded for the day.

VWAP trading strategy is commonly applied by traders on…

  13. Horizontal lines should mark the extreme levels for these indicators. By default, RSI is at 30 and 70 and stochastic is at 20 and 80. It would be nice if these levels were adjustable though...or just available to display or hide if that isn't possible.

  15. Allow an option for candlesticks charts to be only solid. So Green is always "up"; Red "down". (no "hollow" bodies).
