Performance Graphs - Save Layout
I would like to see capability added to the program to save performance graphs (containing more than one stock or index) so performance of various indices/stocks can be compared graphically over time. Now one has to recreate the graph dailey.
38 votesLayouts are now available in VectorVest 7 performance graphs. A layout can be created and saved just like any other Graph type.
This feature is available in the latest update to VectorVest 7: http://www.vectorvest.com/install/vectorvest7/

Market Timing Graph enhancement
Would like option to display numbers on right side of Market Timing Graph which would be closer to recent close prices. Would be much easier than following grid lines to the left displayed numbers.
37 votesThe labels have been moved to the right of the graph in VectorVest 7, which is now available. If you have not tried VectorVest 7 yet, follow this link for a free 30-day trial:

When putting a moving average for volume on the chart it creates another graph instead of it just being an overlay.

I would like to see an option to show DEW timing markers on the graphs
I like the Markers on the graphs showing Market up/down but I'd like an option to show either standard markers or DEW markers.
11 votesThis feature is now included in Version 1.1.8 of VectorVest 7.
The Confirmed Calls button on the lower toolbar of a graph has an arrow that allows it to be changed to either the Primary Wave or the DEW Timing Markers.

Add vertical and horizontal lines in Draw Line
The ability to add vertical and horizontal lines to the Draw Line menu would be very helpful. This would be easier and more accurate than manually drawing lines.
6 votesThis ability exists in the VectorVest 7 (RealTime) platform. In the next few months we will be releasing intraday and end of day versions of this platform. All current users of VectorVest US End Of Day will be able to use the new platform. Versions of the platform for Canada, Europe, UK, Australia, and South Africa will follow.

Add WatchList Average Graph
I want to chart the AVERAGE of a watchlist or Portfolio in real time (intraday) and be able to apply indicators (moving, averages, etc. so I can determine entry and exit points for the Watchlist or Portfolio as a whole. You already give me this ability on individual stocks. I need to do it for the average of the Portfolio and Watchlists. VectorVest Prographics lets me chart a single graph for the average of a watchlist with end of day data and apply any indicator. I want to do the exact same thing with intraday data.

Improve color set-up for graphs when choosing white background.
I very much like being able to select a white background for graphs separately from a universal choice. However, when this is done, colors of the selected graph items (RT etc.) are not changed and become invisible or nearly so. Please on making this white background selection, provide a complementary set of veiwable colors for all parameters.
4 votesThe latest version of VectorVest 7 is now available and has much better default colors for graphs when using a white background.
If you have not yet received the latest version (1.3.2.9), it can be downloaded at http://www.vectorvest.com/install/vectorvest7

On Stock Graphs include the confirmed up/down signals as markers.
I would love to see the confirmed up/down signals on the Market Timing graph availabe to all graphs - especially the individual stock graphs. The toggle could be a "marker" choice/feature.
This would be very helpful when backtesting performance by individual investment. The visual representation of the impact of the market timing call would be clearly illustrated.
3 votesWe have added this feature to VectorVest 7’s graphs and it is now available. If you haven’t tried VectorVest 7 yet, follow the link below for a 30 day free trial:

Graphs
Whe you look at a graph of a stock you should be able to see the industry/sector graph the stock is in. We all know when a sector goes down all stocks good and bad go with it. This would be more covenient than switching screens.
3 votesIn VectorVest 7, we now show the stock’s Industry and Sector as a watermark in the background of the graph as well as the symbol and company name.
If you are not currently using VectorVest 7, it is a free upgrade with the following link:

Allow the time span to remain the same as you switch from standard to protrader graphs.
Keep the same time frame that was set in standard graph when you select protrader graph(or visa versa) for convenience. Usually you will want to use both graphs in the same time frame. If not, then you can simply readjust it to what ever timeframe you want.
3 votesThis issue has been fixed in VectorVest 7, as ProTrader and Standard graphs have been combined into one graph type.

Graph's TIME period is not Highlighted
Currently, in GRAPH, the bottom right corner TIME period selection menu, does NOT show the selected TIME frame as a Highlighted item. You can calculate this info by subtracting dates, but having the TIME frame Highlighted in yellow, would be faster, and easier to see at a glance.
2 votesThe currently viewed time period is shown on the scrollbar directly below the graph. The scrollbar shows the amount of time being displayed. For example, 3y, 5d means 3 years and 5 days are being displayed.
