    Hello Vicram,

    It is possible for what you described to happen with Profit Locker, depending on the price history of the stock. Can you send me some more details and we can investigate.

    I just need to know: the stock, the purchase date of the stock, the date/time it told you to sell, and the profit locker settings you used. With that information, we can make sure everything worked correctly.

    Hi Kirk,

    We try to do one update per month with new features. However, you are correct that this week, we had two extra updates to fix an issue that was introduced in the last update. We're working to prevent that from happening in the future.

    What do you need to reset after an update? The update should not be resetting any of your application settings. It also should not make you reboot your computer.

    There are some technical challenges to make this happen, but it is possible in the future…
    For now, the best solution is to run multiple VectorVest 7 instances simultaneously. You can login to VectorVest 7 multiple times as long as you select a different market for each instance.

    Hello Charles,

    On Friday, we released a fix to the Portfolio Genius, so now it is based on calendar days, not trading days. The BackTester will be updated shortly to match this behavior.

    Thanks for the suggestions for better Wash Rule behavior, we will investigate this.

    Hello Greg,

    The only part of your search that won't work is the moving average on weekly bars. We currently only calculate moving averages for searches using end of day bars.

    I'll update this request to "Allow Weekly Moving Averages in Unisearch".

    John,
    VectorVest 7 offers Fibonacci Retracements through the graph drawings. In the top menu above a graph in the Graphs tab, select the small arrow next to the button that reads "Vertical Line." There are four different Fibonacci drawings available, including Fibonacci Retracements. Is this what you are interested in, or something else?

    Have you tried the Performance graph?

    Performance graph is available as a graph type in the Graphs tab and allows you to graph the VVC next to one or more stocks. It compares the price performance of the stocks.

    Is this what you are looking for or do you want to superimpose the actual Price graphs on top of each other? Do you want to see other parameters other than Price as well?

    This is not currently an option in VectorVest 7, Vance, but its a great idea.

    I have categorized this feature request as a Watchdog improvement.
    The Watchdog currently allows you to receive an alert through email when a stock meets certain criteria.
    It currently does not include a change in REC as a criteria setting, but it can be added.
    It already contains the ability of filtering by Watchlists.

    If you haven't tried the Watchdog yet, it is free with VectorVest 7 RealTime, or you can sign up for a trial of the Watchdog with an Intraday account by calling customer support.

    Ralph,

    You should be able to open two copies of VectorVest 7 so that US and CA can be viewed simultaneously.

    Try double-clicking the VectorVest 7 twice and logging into both CA and US. Is it not allowing you to do this? Let me know if this doesn't work and we can get it fixed for you.

    As far as putting both CA and US symbols together, we are not currently working on this, but it is possible in the future.

    We definitely won't be adding streaming back into VectorVest 6. Most of our new development is focused on VectorVest 7.

    The first fix should have helped VectorVest 7 to work much better without a stream .

    We are now looking into getting streaming to work from behind a firewall, so that you will be able to use the full functionality of VectorVest 7.

    We are adding a fix in the next update that will help VectorVest 7 to work better from behind a firewall. You still won't be able to use streaming data without opening ports on the firewall, but you will be able to use the application without any streaming data.

    ATR Stops are now available in VectorVest 7 Portfolio Automation.

    I am renaming this suggestion to Profit Target Stops instead.

    Hello, William.

    The best way to do a Find in the Views for now is to use the Search button at the bottom of the Views tab. It is on the bottom left of the text and looks like a magnifying glass. Click on it to search for text in the document.
