Web App Beta Market Timing
• Good to have as an add -in to the current display to complement what is already there; the current Color Guard, and Market Timing are quite informative as they
• Perhaps the new display can be added on the side of the current color guard display from where we can click to access the rest of that system.
• The When to Buy guideline quickly and easily helps see the best action to take, particularly for new users, and again, would be great as an add-in
• Nice transition to the What to Buy display, as long as users retain the currently available customizable searches
• When looking at specific searches I only see the top five stocks even though the # of stocks to be displayed indicates 50.
• I imagine everything is a work in progress; however, I do prefer the way current graphs are displayed on VV 7.
Thank you for your thoughtful feedback on the Market Timing experience in the web app beta. It’s clear you’ve spent time with both platforms, and we truly appreciate your detailed perspective.
You're absolutely right, the Color Guard and Market Timing tools in VV7 are powerful and informative, and your idea to integrate the new design alongside those tools is well noted. Many of the decisions in this first tier were made intentionally to make the VectorVest system easier to learn for users who are new to our methodology, even if they have experience investing elsewhere.
This initial tier is focused on guiding users through “When to Buy, What to Buy, and When to Sell” using a simplified layout that supports onboarding and confidence-building. But we want to reassure you that none of the advanced capabilities you know and love from VV7 are going away, they're simply being reserved for more advanced tiers of the web app, where they’ll be surfaced more fully and flexibly.
We’re glad to hear that the “When to Buy” guidance is helpful, it’s designed to remove uncertainty and reinforce decision-making within the VectorVest system. And the transition to “What to Buy” reflects the natural progression we want users to follow.
As for your other points:
- Only seeing five stocks in search results is likely a display bug, we’re investigating that now.
- And we completely understand your preference for VV7-style charting. We’ve heard this from many seasoned users, and richer charting tools will absolutely return in higher tiers, where they can shine without overwhelming newer users early on.
Thanks again for your feedback, it’s shaping not only what we improve in this tier, but how we roll out advanced features in the tiers ahead. If you have specific charting or search tools that are essential to your workflow, we’d love to hear more about them.
