Many of the decisions in this first tier were made intentionally to make the VectorVest system easier to learn for users who are new to our methodology, even if they have experience investing elsewhere.
This initial tier is focused on guiding users through “When to Buy, What to Buy, and When to Sell” using a simplified layout that supports onboarding and confidence-building. But we want to reassure you that none of the advanced capabilities you know and love from VV7 are going away, they're simply being reserved for more advanced tiers of the web app, where they’ll be surfaced more fully and flexibly.
We’re glad to hear that the “When to Buy” guidance is helpful, it’s designed to remove uncertainty and reinforce decision-making within the VectorVest system. And the transition to “What to Buy” reflects the natural progression we want users to follow.
As for your other points:
Only seeing five stocks in search results is likely a display bug, we’re investigating that now.
And we completely understand your preference for VV7-style charting. We’ve heard this from many seasoned users, and richer charting tools will absolutely return in higher tiers, where they can shine without overwhelming newer users early on.
