  1. There are a LOT of things that are missing from the Beta version. I understand you will be rolling out the new Beta version in stages. However, how are we supposed to know which items have not been rolled out yet, versus those that won't be included. I don't want to spend time making comments on things that are missing NOW that will be implemented later. Can you provide a high level implemention plan so we don't waste time on identifying things that are missing NOW but will be added LATER?

  2. I’m not a fan of the capsules shown beside VV metrics.
Decimal aligned numbers are easy to compare visually; these cartoonish graphics not so much.
They take up so much space that if removed I’d be able to see and easily compare VST RV RS RT CI one one screen instead of just VST RV RS as shown in screenshot.

Thank you for this feedback, and yes, Robert is on the right track. This first tier is really intended to help users new to VectorVest to learn the system, and to appeal to users who really just want this base level of prudent guidance and doesn't want to dig into deeper data. The next tier, which in currently being designed, will have a home page that will be much more familiar to those who are experienced with VectorVest 7. Feedback like yours will help greatly in building that tier to something that experienced users like you are going to love. It will also be helpful to hear from you about what was most helpful for you when you were a new user. What was most helpful when learning the system and what turned you from a new user into the power user you are today. Thanks!

  4. Definitely need more custom controls on the Home Screen

I want to see the MAG7 and my stocks right on the home screen

Having the news on the stocks is excellent

We need the VVC graph right on the home screen as well as the MTI

    Thanks for the thoughtful feedback!

We absolutely agree that the MAG7, personal stocks, the VVC, MTI, and stock-specific news are important. These elements are all on our roadmap to bring into the Home screen in future phases.

For now, we’ve intentionally kept the Home experience focused and simplified to better support newer users of VectorVest. Research showed that too much information upfront can overwhelm users who are still learning the basics of the system.

That said, we’re actively exploring ways to let more experienced users customize their Home screen. If you have thoughts on how you’d like to organize or prioritize this information, we’d love to hear them! Your insight helps shape how and when we reintroduce advanced controls.

  5. "HEED THE COLOR GUARD" . . . Color guard needs to be on the opening page with values showing. How does the little bar chart on the first page help us to select stocks? It is just history. .....Cute but of no real value. It just takes up space

    • Graphs functionality works intuitive and has good performance. I also like that the VectorVest indicators are shown in a single graph window.
    • Some suggestions for further improvement:
      • Add possibility to enter a custom value for the period of Moving averages or if not possible extend option list to include most used.
      • Removal of parameters can currently only be done in the graph and would be good to also allow it in the parameter panel itself.
      • The information panel has a bug for the VectorVest indicators and says “Stock has an RV of NaN” (Not a Number) instead of showing the…

  6. • Good to have as an add -in to the current display to complement what is already there; the current Color Guard, and Market Timing are quite informative as they
    • Perhaps the new display can be added on the side of the current color guard display from where we can click to access the rest of that system.
    • The When to Buy guideline quickly and easily helps see the best action to take, particularly for new users, and again, would be great as an add-in
    • Nice transition to the What to Buy display, as long as users…

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback on the Market Timing experience in the web app beta. It’s clear you’ve spent time with both platforms, and we truly appreciate your detailed perspective.

You're absolutely right, the Color Guard and Market Timing tools in VV7 are powerful and informative, and your idea to integrate the new design alongside those tools is well noted. Many of the decisions in this first tier were made intentionally to make the VectorVest system easier to learn for users who are new to our methodology, even if they have experience investing elsewhere.

This initial tier is focused on guiding users through “When to Buy, What to Buy, and When to Sell” using a simplified layout that supports onboarding and confidence-building. But we want to reassure you that none of the advanced capabilities you know and love from VV7 are going away, they're simply being…

  7. Not enough detail in current version to make a meaningful comment. I'm more about functionality like configuring panels to display how I trade, then putting a screen together of those panels. The current home tab kinda does this. Examples of good web layouts can be seen thru many websites like the latest from CMC Markets.

  8. Support and Resistance doesn't appear in the list of Parameters that can be added to the graph (although I suspect it will be added at some point.
Descriptions of the new parameters, such as zig zig and Typical price, would be helpful, but love to see that you are adding more content.

Thank you for the feedback Atanee and I agree. All of the information/education that we have currently opening on new tabs will open in a sidebar/drawer or a tooltip. This update is coming soon and will be available in an upcoming build of the app.

  9. I am big fan of VV7 the way it is when you compare to all charting software out there. Why try to change something that is very good to be the same as all the other companies that use TRADINGVIEW. I find that charting and feel of the layout in Vectorvest made it the easiest to use and manipulate. why change it?

Thank you for sharing this, your appreciation for the charting experience in VV7 really comes through, and it means a lot to hear how strongly you value what makes VectorVest unique.

You’re absolutely right that VV7’s charting stands apart, especially in terms of clarity, control, and how naturally it supports technical analysis without feeling overwhelming. That experience is something we’re proud of, and we’re not looking to abandon it.

In the beta web app, some visual and layout changes are intentional to simplify the platform for new users and support a smoother onboarding experience. But you’re not alone: we’ve heard from other long-time users who want to make sure the flexibility and power of VV7-style charting stays intact.

Rest assured—we’re not trying to become TradingView. Our goal is to teach the VectorVest fundamentals with a clean, approachable UI first, and then bring back the advanced features and charting depth

  11. In the landing screen when to buy gets yo some useful searches which is great.
In the same screen when to sell gets you no searches, but just a brief tutorial on stop loss. Let me suggest that when to sell will have some short selling ideas.

    Thanks for the thoughtful suggestion!

You’re right to point out the difference between the “When to Buy” and “When to Sell” experiences. This is intentional, at least at this foundational tier, where we prioritize prudent guidance focused on using stop prices to manage downside risk. Our research shows that many newer VectorVest users are still building confidence with the system, and introducing more aggressive tactics like short selling too early can increase complexity and anxiety, which we aim to minimize at this stage.

That said, your suggestion aligns well with how we envision expanding guidance in higher tiers. As users grow in confidence and skill, we plan to introduce access to more advanced strategies, including shorting, contra ETFs, and other techniques suited for downturns. These will be driven by more assertive systems and backed by education to help users apply them effectively without being overwhelmed.

    We’d love to learn more…

  14. I can't locate any ability to set the stop values for portfolio stocks. Even the most basic VV process includes the necessity for setting a stop at the time of purchase and providing a method for displaying the stop in a portfolio report and stock graph.

  15. Overall I love the new look, the use of colour coding, scales, and rankings, makes it much easier to review a list of stocks very quickly and the Home page gives a lot of information about the current status of the market. Love the use of a bar chart summary of the market timing trent, gives a better idea of direction.
Quick links to the education makes it easy to review the VV principles.

  16. Overall, I like the webbrowser based framework of the new beta app, enabling usage across operating systems. I'm a Mac user and with the current desktop version I hate the user interface and am looking forward to a successor. But in order for the new app to replace the desktop client version, many additional functionality would need to be added before I could completely switch over. Like Market timing graphs and the unisearch are key for me. Also having the ability to graph exponential moving average (e.g. 5,8,13) and create custom fields if not available by default (e.g. RSRV
