More brokerages are being added to VectorVest. Please add a vote for the specific brokerage you are intersted in.

  2. As of April 04, 2013 there appears to be errors in the tables of some Portfolios under the Portfolios tab. The errors are in Riding the Wave, Blyars Bottom Feeders and S&P 500 Stop Asc. In these strategies, several Loss fields are shown as Profits. The profit should be Market Value - Cost Basis. In many (perhaps most) cases this works out to be a Loss (red), whereas it is shown as a profit (green). These errors could have a major impact on the calculated Portfolio gain.

Hi Albert. Thank you for the feedback, however the gains / losses shown in these portfolios are correct. The portfolios you mentioned each have short positions. When you sell a stock short we display the sale price in the “Cost Basis” field, and the gain / loss formula is reversed. Gain / Loss = Cost Basis – Market Value.

    Thanks,
    Paul

I was unable to find this stock symbol anywhere. Please verify the symbol and company name if still interested in it.

  7. When I look at the S&P 500 watchlist for today it has 500 members. If i go back in time to Jan. 2000 the watchlist only has 376 members. The S&P 500 always contains aprox 500 companies. Please update the watch lists to contain historical members!

These historic views of the Watchlists sometimes show less stocks because the stocks that were in the Watchlist have either been delisted or are not tracked by VectorVest.
