From the beginning I have asked about Boolean seach capabilities for VV. Right now every search criteria can only use the "and" criteria. There are many times that disjunctive criteria ("or") would be highly useful. For example sell if price drops below the stop price or if its 30 day EMA drops below its 90 day EMA.

The search limitations within Pro Trader need to be expanded to allow using the full range of fields. To use part of the example above, a filter that says "30EMA > 90EMS. Now there is no way I can see to take full advantage of the various measures currently available. The only way to do this now is to separately graph each stock, select the EMAs and manually examine each stock. With 8,000 or so stocks in the database that is not realistic. The data points are there we just cannot use them to build a search.

DMA channels using displace moving averages should be added to Pro Trader. That metric is very useful in determining the trend of a stock.

For now I have to using another piece of software to do the analyses I want. That is a bit irritating not to mention costly considering the sizable investment I have in VV. VV is so close to be able to do these things I keep hoping to see them happen.

Dividend treatment is an improvement but still requires manual intervention. I assume dividend data is not part of your data source. The portfolio manager does not provide a true Total Return calculation for that reason. It only reports performance based upon changes in NAV. I use it a guideline to stock decisions within a portfolio and then use other software to get the correct performance results. That's OK since VV is not marketed as a portfolio manager but it would be nice.
