user-defined market timing list
Allow users to import their own timing list rather than just using built-in lists of Confirmed, DEW, Primary Wave, Green Light. These user-defined timing signals could be used in graphs as well as in the backtester. The user-defined list could be for MACD, Cook's Candles, or any other list created externally by the user. The data could just be a comma delimited file with "name" "up,down, neutral" signals & dates.

In my own testing, MACD appears to provide superior Up/Dn signals to DEW. Therefore I strongly support the idea to enable user-defined timing signals.

The present timing mechanism keep you in bear market if long(to many false signals on general market direction). Would like a much longer market timer like 200 moving ave and can only go long when the moving average is positive and not just crossed the moving average. Longer term the big bear markets will not hurt your portfolio as badly as the false signals given with present systems. At present doing this manually.

Great ideal. I approve and would kike to see this also, especially if would allow a timing system based on crossover of a particular index, like MTI (8) or MTI (2)

Sounds like a good idea for Market Timers, I'm all for it!

This Idea seems to me a very powerful potential improvement to the backtester that does not seem to require lots of programming effort.
I am trying to promote it and collect more support votes for it from my fellow VV users... -

This is in the VV6 Simulator and if we get the Simulator ported into VV7 RT we'll have this and a bunch more.
