teach (i.e. always use the terms open and closed, not filled, hollow etc.) Then "open" will mean opened lower (than it closed) and "closed" will mean closed lower (than it opened. It will be easier to remember, it doesn't need to be translated.

No hollow candles and or wrong colored candles. ie small solid green because it is higher than yest close is incorrect and creates the wrong picture of the chart which makes the chart very confusing to read and on a smaller chart the candles should not touch each other. on a small intraday chart the red candle blends into the one nest to it actually over lapping the next candle.
