This doesn't really seem to be getting traction. Is there an alternative to VectorVest that's web based?

I too was surprised and disappointed after signing up for the trial period then finding out VV7 is not supported by MAC products. With the current 1,088 requests for MAC inclusion for VV7 and the continued resistance by Vector Vest to allow the MAC world access what might mine and others decisions be after our trial periods are over? Suggestion, at least include Vector Vest Express training in the Vector Vest University training.

I now have my new iMac and am running Schwab's StreetSmart EDGE. It works perfectly and is way faster than my old (but i7 chip) PC. I will continue with two computers until the PC or my VV subscription runs out. It will be a sad day for me, after about 28 years with the VV system, but times change. My trading style is now more conservative and VV is only marginally useful. I's stay the course if it were compatible, but that's not my call.

I've been told that it would be way too expensive to program a Mac version due to the program's complexity. I have been told VV is contemplating a web version but that it would be quite a long time before it happens. At least it's on the drawing board.

An alternative is Virtual Box, which is free as is the windows program to run it. I ended up buying a Windows laptop dedicated just to VV.

VectorVest - Please answer this question regarding adding a MAC version. I just converted from a PC to a Mac, and imagine my surprise and shock that VV is still not compatible when I tried to download the software. I'm likely cancelling my subscription very soon if this is not addressed. Could you please just tell the MAC community if you are ever going to add MAC compatibility? Please?

This request has by far the most votes. Maybe they'll listen? Mac users shouldn't have to go to the lengths we do to use Vector Vest. I think the cost of using VV justifies a Mac version.

I too am a MAC user and was disappointed to find that VV does not support this platform. I used VV back in the 90's for a short while and new VV did not work with MAC. When I signed up for the free trial the other day I thought surely by now you would also support MAC users.

It cost toward a thousand dollars to make the Mac compatible to run PC software. As others have said, a Mac version of the software or a web based version (such as think or swim etc) would save the total ccommunity dollars. I assume that there are a significant number of Mac based individuals interested in your software. I actually, several years ago, paid the price for the PC version, only to find that I could not run it without a 3rd party software AND buying the MS windows operating system.. Although I use to do that when I worked, it becomes a steep expense for a retiree. How soon will you have the Mac version ;). Time is ticking and the financial world is likely to turn sour when the irresponsible FED games come to an end.

I hope that VV listens to its subscribers requests and implements Mac compatible or preferably web-based software. It is not ideal for us to have 2 computers and should be able to access the program on any equipment.

Please make a Mac version, or at least a web version. There's no reason why it needs to be installed software.

Adding my voice to the chorus who are asking for a full version to be made available for Mac users. The app is helpful but lacks functionality so a full version, that can be installed on Mac computers, is definitely needed. Alternatively a fully functional web based version would be appreciated.

Of all the tools I use on my computers, VV is the only one that I have to run on a buggy old Windows O/S. You've lost a lot of revenue over the years and are looked at as dated. Too bad.

It's time to get on the Mac bandwagon and stop procrastinating.

I am a long time friend of VV -all the way back to the time when VV was a weekly printed newsletter. I do not want to give up VV ever!

But at the same time I will not replace my sick and clunky Windows PC with another POS. My next computer will be a Mac and I know that this is more than a mere trend.

Please pay attention to what we are saying. There are many new and functional investing software out there- none in my opinion as good as VV, but they are getting closer. And they run on Macs. Wake up.

WHEN WILL YOUR MAC PLATFORM BE AVAILABLE? PLEASE HELP EXPAND YOUR USER BASE. MANY WAITING TO JOIN WHEN YOU HAVE A MAC PLATFORM.

Guys, we love VectorVest, but there is a HUGE world of Mac users - let's serve the whole community. The sooner the better!!
