Apple/Mac users - Create a full-blown application
We’re proud to announce that VectorVest 7 is now available on Mac OS X 10.7 and later! This solution no longer requires a separate partition or installing Parallels Desktop + Windows. Instead, we use a remote server to host VectorVest 7.
Subscribers will install Parallels RAS Client (free app) to access our software. To start using it, go to http://www.vectorvest.com/install/vectorvest7/mac.

It's a good thing I do have a PC at home, but like I said below Vector Vest on my iPhone and iPad is total Crap. I'm quite sure I wouldn't be subscriber to VV if I didn't own a PC. After reading some of these comments, what the heck is taking so long to make VV compatible with Mac users?

I have the VV app with the End of Day acct. on my iPhone and it's Crap. If I want to use it, I have to go to the Apple App store, reboot it in order to get it to run. Sure it's a pain, but how else can I look at VV? When I was on the 5 week trial and had the Intraday upgrade, it worked fine. But the end of day acct. really is bumming me out. Having to wait until 8:00 EST really sucks. as a matter of fact, the End of Day acct. just makes me feel disconncted with the Market, half the time it's so late I don't have time to do any real research unless it's on the weekend ( I start work at 5:00am ) because I'm usually in bed by 9;00. I think I'm going to just fork out the extra cash and upgrade to a Intraday acct.

I am a Macintosh (MacMini, Intel processor, Mac OS 10.8) user, and am limited to VV Express. I have had to set up separate watch lists and then download them separately and merge them into a single spreadsheet for analysis. It would be a tremendous plus if you could provide the ability to either download the entire database (8,000 symbols) or a query type ability, where I could define the characteristics that I am looking for, The down load capability in XLS format is really important, since there are occasions that I will own or be interested in a particular stock that doesn't fit the general parameters.
I use Vector Vest almost every day, but I can only download once a week or so, because of the time required to download multiple watch lists, etc. I am always dealing with out of date information.

Since 2009 there has been 255 comments,13 pages and 2079 votes requesting that VV create a full apple version of it's program but I don't recall any comment regarding this issue. Could someone gives some feedback?

Any information for all of us about when this might happen? If not a full blown Mac version of VectorVest, can a cloud version be made available so that I can access my VectorVest information from any device (my iPhone and my iPad, in my case).

I would upgrade to the real time version, and would hope to tie in to auto trading type system, but my use of VV is significantly limited by the windows platform. I have kept an old laptop just for VV, but everything both business and home use is Apple product. If there is some data mining or other nefarious purpose to keep windows, please consider cloud based system through user log in.

I need a version of VectorVest that will run on an IPAD. Running Windows on this machine is not possible. I don't like to have to carry a Windows laptop with me just so I can run VectorVest

That would be tremendous. I can't load my CD onto my MacBook.
It would be a market niche that would really go places. -

Had I know it was an installed Windows application. I would not have purchased the trial.
Join the cloud generation. Build a web app so anyone can use. Downloading and installing a Visual Basic app is 1999.

I used VV a few years ago and loved it( I stopped because we were moving and I had to put VV on hold) but I had a Dell Computer. I am back on a trial now but have an Mac. I can see all that is missing. You are not up to date, and behind in what is really going on. I am missing so many things. It really is such a great system but I am feeling frustrated.
