Apple/Mac users - Create a full-blown application
We’re proud to announce that VectorVest 7 is now available on Mac OS X 10.7 and later! This solution no longer requires a separate partition or installing Parallels Desktop + Windows. Instead, we use a remote server to host VectorVest 7.
Subscribers will install Parallels RAS Client (free app) to access our software. To start using it, go to http://www.vectorvest.com/install/vectorvest7/mac.

I did the 5 week trial hoping a Mac app would be available at the end. Didn't happen. I'm done.
Now vv intends to charge a handling fee of $45 because I didn't sign on for the $645 subscription. NO WAY!
What a 2nd rate scam!

I feel it is so unfortunate that I can't benefit from VV unisearch usage during much for the day because I am an apple user. Our household is Apple and I enjoy using my iPad mostly. So, I cast my three votes for a full blown apple app.

Please work on vector vest being useable on Apple Mac . It is so annoying having to go through Parallels.

Look at an airport lounge or at a coffee store... the majority is using macs and I truly believe that specifically the higher income population which has money left for investing has even a higher percentage of mac users --> please create a mac VV version!
It's annoying to re-boot every time I want to use VV to get into my Windows platform. -

A MAC version of VV is desperately needed (well, needed anyway) out here in 'worker bee' land. I use the latest version of Fusion and Windows 7 as a virtual PC currently and the system (relatively) plods along despite my hot MAC on which they are installed. Been around the barn with VV since '2000' with fine results and still have high hopes for a MAC product. This, (VV), is a great product and always paid for itself under even with this marginal speed but a faster pace to keep up with my fleeting years would be most welcome.

I'm travelling a lot and bring my MacBook Pro with me. I really wish I can access VectorVest in my Mac as I do in my laptop which, because of weight, it's no longer fun to bring along. Please come up with the Mac version, soon?

Just installed Parallels and Win 7 on my Mac. Really slows it down and bringing up VecVest is time consuming. I'm on a 5week trial, doubt i'll continue unless a Mac version is coming soon.

It is frustrating to be unable to use this application on a non windows platform. Also, even the online version requires a download of the application. If the application cannot be used anywhere then there is no point in paying such an expensive charge per month.

I have just been notified by another previously windows only trading platform that they can now deliver their product to MAC users via "The Cloud". I am hoping that innovations using cloud computing will also make it possible for Vector Vest to deliver their prouct to MAC users in a similar way.

How about delivering VectorVest directly to your MAC via Citrix without the need for Parallels , Windows etc? I am currently receiving a windows trading platform from a popular online broker through Citrix. It runs just great on my Mac. Prior to the Citrix introduction it was deliverd via Parallels and Windows. Is this the solution VV MAC usuers have been waiting for? I don't have the computer background to say so. If you have some knowledge about this please comment.

I have been with VV for 5 years waiting for the Mac version. Enough already - please provide what the customer base wants.

I agree that Parallels and Fusion are not acceptable solutions. I used Fusion for a number of years and, while it works just OK if you have adequate memory and disk space it remains a pain to use. About a year ago I bought a new Mac and now run Windows 7 on my old Mac under Bootcamp which I find more convenient than Fusion having tried both methods.
However, this remains a stop gap solution for me as I would be much more comfortable running VV directly on my Mac as a Mac application without having to start up a second computer whenever I want to use VV.
I find statements that Parallels and Fusion are the solution to Windows only applications to be very annoying and hope that the wonderful people who develop VV appreciate that there is a real need for VV on the Mac. -

If I could give all 10 of my 'votes' to this recommendation, I would. I've used Parallels and Windows XP for 5 years waiting for a fully functional VV on Mac. Absolutely hate Parallels and using this workaround. It's not "seamless", it's a pain! Another program to maintain, and Parallels' support is awful when it has glitches. And if you travel frequently, you have to run and maintain this setup at home on the iMac, and on the road on your MacBook. Extremely painful, please just get on with it and make VV7 fully functional for Apple users!!!!!

With the increase in market exposure of Apple products, it would make sense that VV developed a product to cater for this growing portion of the market. It would also be extremely worthwhile to develop an IPAD App to support VV functionality and support mobile traders.

Emulate a PC on your Mac using Parallels or VMware Fusion. I've used both, prefer the latter. Provides seamless back and for between Mac and PC without rebooting.

Just got my first Apple product (IPad). Wow. When is VV for this device going to be ready?

On Vector Vest Express, please allow more than 100 stocks results--why not 500?

Please tell us that the Mac and iPad versions are in the works.
Like many of your other customers, I have switched from PC to Mac stack and only hold out for programs like this.
If I find another service available on Mac platform, I will not renew.
Please help us and tell us it is coming! -

walter o. australia October 24th 2012 6pm. I have an outdated PC. running windows XP.
I'm wanting to up grade to a Mac Pro looking at the comments already made, can you please explain why V V 7 has not taken a big bite out of Apple use? Surely these user comments are only the tip of the iceberg! We have moved on since December 2009?
