  1. Except for provided criteria (Gain/Loss%) we should be able to create such criteria. For instance a sell criteria that says S if price>x or if Price crosses below it 30MA.

  2. Provide parameters of 'previous high' and 'previous low' during a specified period such as the last week, year, 5 years, etc. These two parameters could be used by themselves, but would be most useful in building your own parameters for fibonacci retracements and extensions.

  7. When filtering by exchange, not all the data is correct. Some stocks that are traded OTC, BB, or Pink Sheets are showing up as traded on the NASDAQ.

  8. I always get these sales pitch from VV about "Stock of the Week". I would like to know which strategy picks these stocks or are these stocks only from the VST stock list. If from the VST stock list, then it is pretty much not possible to buy the stock when the "Buy" recommendation is given, because at that time probably the stock is not in the Top VST stock list.

  9. Currently in VV7 in Unisearch, the Protrader Envelope Crossover allows only a few different Moving Averages. I would suggest that the MA setting be variable, so that one could dial up and choose a 15ma, for example

  10. (Database system designers call these "views"). When you ask to view the "watchlist" a user-defined search is invoked to create the watchlist "on the fly". The user could ask for how many items to display (default to 10 or 20).and as usual the sort. You could filter on the virtual watchlist just like a real one in other searches.

  11. You can come close by creating a watchlist, running a search filtering on that watchlist, and removing the results "by hand". But I want to be able to do the same thing using automated backtesting, portfolio manager.

  13. When creating or using the unisearch tool the value box is vague. Example 50 day moving average volume ? Anything under 500,000 shares a day traded and this stock is hard to buy or sell fast. What value or number of shares would represent a small, midcap or large corporation? And so forth, at present I do not know this type of information, I am not a financial account dealing with corporations.

  14. I would like to see at least a 2 to 1 ratio of the distance from the current price to the resistance line vs. the support line. The parameter would have to look like this:
(resistance price - act price) / (act price - support price) with an operator > and a value of 2.

  15. I created a program in UniSearch that was centered around a custom field. Because the field did not move in realtime like RT and Price, it rendered the program useless. If I sort by the custom field in stock viewer, it does move in realtime. The problem is I don't want all the stocks in the VVC, only the ones from my UniSearch program. Hope you can make custom built fields move in realtime in UniSearch.

    Thanks, Kevin Williams

  18. In Unisearch (VV-7), when you are creating a new search, the prompt moves improperly. E.G. after selecting a parameter you expect the cursor (prompt) to move to the right to the Operator field. Instead, the cursor jumps UP to the previously entered parameter field

  19. In personal custom fields and in the VectorVest custom fields maintain the list in alphabetic order. I.e. to divide GPE by VST it would say +GPE / VST and to divide VST by GPE it would be /GPE * VST. Note: the firdt operator (+,-,*,/) is ignored by the sort tool - where ther is no first operator, the + sign would be inserted. ie. to subtract RV from RS it would say +RS -RV; to subtract RS from RV it would say -RS +RV. This way, the field names are always in alphabetic order from left to right.
