Capping ideas to maximum of 10 is arbitrary and non-democratic. Open it up to at least 20.
If I vote to support 10 ideas posted by others, why should I be restricted from posing some of my own? VV7 is decent, but far from perfect. Telling users their opinions aren't important, is unwise.

Place all settings in a single place and change the documentation to reflect this.
The help files PDF and Help should be brought up to date. For settings, they refer to the upper right of the screen and point to an icon. This is not true. Alerts have not been moved to the left screen bottom, and there is no settings icon. By luck, a right click will bring up on the tools icon will give an applications settings.

The print function to a Text file in Vectorvest. Simple, SELECT (by dragging the mouse), CTRL+C (CUT) and CTRL+V (PASTE) not there
The print function to a text file in Vectorvest is not useful. Simple, SELECT (by dragging the mouse), CTRL+C (CUT) and CTRL+V (PASTE) are available in many other programs, including Web Pages. SNIP tool is not the answer either, because it is not a "text" file.

In Reports: Match stock pie chart colors to the accompanying Industry pie chart so they re the same, side by side
In the Reports section of the Backtester, under Summary report, there are 2 pie charts that are nicely supplied showing:
a) Current Positions by Symbol and
b) Current positions by Industry
These are great to ensure diversification but I wonder- for easier comparison if:
-you could match the colors so that the stock and sector it belongs to are the same color. It would be quicker and easier to read- apple to apples?

change volume to average is value 1, positive volume would be green +, neg-red -, would alert to volume indications and changes.
the current number in the volume column does not alert the user on a visual scan that volume activity may be higher or lower than the market in general. I can miss a market move in price that could have been detected by volume change. There are other indicators, and I quess your rt comes the closest. I would prefer a simple red or greeen, based on average volume with a value of 1, and the next column and number is green and positive, or red and reflects less volume.

allow columns moved around for comparison purposes. e.g. value next to price etc
In stock viewer, I would like to move the column marked value next to the column marked price. I would like to move other columns around in stock viewer and do the same. When finished, I would like to reset sort.

Could we have a way to put an index /VVC graph on parallel to a backtest that we have run so we can see the backtest rea-time performance
It would be great to see an index or the VVC graph alongside a back-test result graph so that we can see how our idea performed against the market at the time of the back-test. That would give more depth/proof to the back-test I'm thinking.

Improve Display functionality for medium text
I am running Windows 7 with dual monitors. My main screen is 20 inch ad my second screen is 13 inch.
I use the medium setting on the display setting - Small makes other documents hard to read.
With the medium setting the display extends across my 2 monitors.
Also when I try to use the genius the display extends below where i can control it.As every other program I have works with the medium setting, is it possible that Vector Vest could do the same.

With the portfolios, it would be helpful to see the year to date performance percentag on the top line to the right of the gross percentage.
I am interested in seeing the year to date percentage gains of my portfolio. This way I can see if I am keeping up with the other portfolios

Faster recommendation for Sure Fire Success
Please consider providing recommendations in the portfolio Genius at the end of the current day.
Using Sure Fire Success S&P500 Stop Asc / Index ETFs, I was surprised last Friday (buy signal) when my portfolio Genius did not show a recommendation. The response I got from technical support was that, since I am an end-of-day customer, the recommendation would come out at the end of Monday. That puts me a full day behind. Any earlier on Monday doesn't help as I'm usually not at my computer when the market opens.

Export capability for the backtest summary page
I have run many different backtests and would like to be able to export the summary lines and manipulate the data in Excel so I can make graphs of the performance parameters and visualize which methodologies are most effective.
