    Excellent suggestion! Presently this idea can be approximated by using ETFs for surrogates for Industries. Example: XBI is a Biotech ETF.

    I suggest Backtester enable Stops using Moving Averages. That is an excellent way to trade in real time.

    A BackTester parameter for Rules (down) does not permit Price crossing below its Moving Average. Most investors rely on MA crossovers as Buy/Sell signals. Why not incorporate a Moving Average crossover down into BackTester so Investors can simulate the way they really trade?

    Price crossing below its MA, as a Sell signal, cannot be used in the Backtester. It is not an option, yet most investors & traders rely on MAs of Price as their most significant Indicator of price direction. Why not make it available?

    I'd like to be alerted when a stock meets a price I select. I often want to be alerted when price goes beyond Support or Resistance. This feature is available in my brokerage, but not VV.

    Enable Alerts on technical indicators, such as MAs, MA crossovers, MACD crossover, CCI crossing +100 or -100, etc.

    Excellent idea! I don't know why more people don't support this concept? Using Moving Averages as entry and exit points is a wonderful plan.

    to Bruce Holmstrom: The strategy you refer to under Trends (Crossovers) is limited because you must specify a particular value of RT (RT=1 in the strategy). On the other hand, I want any RT if it crosses above its MA (you pick the MA). Then if you sort by RV/RT you can find stocks exploding off a bottom. For instance, you may find a stock with an RT = 0.52 exploding up; this is what bottom fishing is all about.
    Here is another example: On 11/19/2012 Home Depot's (HD) RT crossed above its 15MA. I made a huge amount of $$ on this move (I bought Calls). But the RT went from 1.21 to 1.24. You cannot find this with the Trends (Crossover) in VV7. However, you can find it in VV6. I want to see VV7 have the same functionality as VV6 regarding RT Crossovers.

    When RT crossover its 33 day MA, is a good time to buy long, no matter what the value of RT is. It is great for bottom fishing! This search is possible in VV6 but not VV7.
