An error occurred while saving the comment Howard Beckett commentedMoving average crossovers are used throughout the investment world but are often difficult to implement in VV-7. Adding this feature would enhance the Genius and Robo-Trader.

An error occurred while saving the comment Howard Beckett commentedDo you mean candlestick patterns like "Bearish Harami" or "Bullish Engulfing" Some of these are in Unisearch already

An error occurred while saving the comment Howard Beckett commentedI know this search works and works well as a breakout finder. It would be nice if the squeeze width were user adjustable. Some like 6% and others like 5% or 7%.

An error occurred while saving the comment Howard Beckett commentedYou can no longer do the work around I described below. Price information and quantity can no longer be downloaded.
An error occurred while saving the comment Howard Beckett commentedAs a workaround use the "export to a .csv" function and export symbol, qty, and change (difference between current price and yesterday's close). in the CSV file, multiply Qty times change and copy that formula for all stocks in the portfolio. Voila!, you have your profit or loss for each stock for the day. Sum the column and you have the portfolio's profit or loss for the day.

An error occurred while saving the comment Howard Beckett commentedIf you've had the stock more than one day, it's there (%PRC) or it could be if %PRC is in your layout. If you bought a 10:30 and want your % as of 1:00 pm you're S.O.L. I think this would be helpful but only to Real-Time subscribers. It would be useless for EOD subscribers and Intraday subscribers could be fooled by the 15 minute delay.

An error occurred while saving the comment Howard Beckett commentedWhy isn't this IR listed under the "Options" grouping of IRs? That would change the count of option related IRs from 38 to 284 (as of 1/22/15) and better reflect how many subscribers have issues with the lack of good options trading tools in VV-7.
Also, why did this go from planned to unplanned between 7/15/14 and 8/15/14? (See comments below.)
An error occurred while saving the comment Howard Beckett commentedIf the 22 votes currently tied to this idea were pooled with the 149 votes on the idea "Make the portfolio manager handle options" they might have enough votes to get them interested.

An error occurred while saving the comment Howard Beckett commentedThis can be done. If a brokerage or other stock advisory service expots a comma separated list, highlight that list, hit <CTRL-C>, open the watchlist, put your cursor in the box labeled "Add symbols" and press <CTRL-V> and hit RETURN. The stocks will be added to the watchlist.

An error occurred while saving the comment Howard Beckett commentedI agree wholeheartedly. I have made the same suggestion for portfolios. There should be a way to do a comparison of the portfolio's or the backtest's performance against an established standard of your choice such as the VVC, the SPX, QQQ, RUT, W5000, etc. There is a workaround for the ARR% comparison. Make a watchlist for the index you want to compare and do a quicktest over the backtest's time frame. The quicktest will give the ARR% for the index over that period.

Don't add your dividends through the "manage portfolio" menu. Use the Transaction log and its capabilities to add or modify transactions. If you use the transaction manager, every dividend is calculated and added to the portfolio. If you have several dividends this can be time consuming. Using the transaction log only updates the portfolio once regardless of the number of dividends entered. If VV had thought to add the "apply" function seen in the stock trade screen, -no problem!
