I am surprised. With the option strategy training and integration into strategies we can't simply enter the options trades as they are made like stocks.

I am shocked this was suggested over 11 years ago and not able to truly track in the portfolios. If a notes feature were added then it wouldn't have to be too complex. With premium and buy/sell entry the notes could be used to track specifics. A separate options portfolio would be nice to track more details of our trades which is available in OptionsPro but I couldn't use historical pricing to record trades entered late. Or perhaps OptionsPro has the capability to send options trades to VV7?

As with many other comments, my primary request is for the portfolio to allow me to enter negative amounts, so that I can account for long calls and long puts. My second-priority request is to associate the option income (and expense) with a security, as I do with dividends. The idea of an option portfolio is intriguing, but it will take you a lot of work to implement. Even though I do a substantial amount of option trading, and would find this useful, I think this is a separable idea and a much longer term project.

A separate options portfolio would probably make the most sense. Then you can put in the options related fields such as delta, gamma etc. The closing price is somewhat of a conundrum. If you use last trade it may have been a mid-day trade. Should probably be midway between bid and ask at the close.

Just being able to enter negative amounts as option premium and allowing a comment would at least be a decent work-around if you want to track the performance of your portfolio.

The Majority of my trades are in options without being able to tack the trades I see little value in the portfolio tracker. You have a powerful tool in the rest of your software. Please make it the most powerful in the industry

we cannot have proper accounting and g/l % repoRting/display in our portfolios UNLESS we are able to enter option PURCHASE/BUYBACK amounts.....currently we can enter option income but not buyback or purchase.... ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS ALLOW NEGATIVE ENTRIES IN THE OPTION INCOME ENTRY AREA

When selling covered calls, have the P&L max out on the stock when at or above the strike price of the call option.

I would like to see that VV portfolio can handle user's option trades in his/her portfolio. I know it's difficult, but I think VV team is able to create the new portfolio combined with the OptionsPro sooner or later. Thanks.

Why not make options trading possible in existing portfolio.

Why isn't this IR listed under the "Options" grouping of IRs? That would change the count of option related IRs from 38 to 284 (as of 1/22/15) and better reflect how many subscribers have issues with the lack of good options trading tools in VV-7.

This was marked as Planned and now it is not! Any feedback from VV on what is difficult about options? It would be nice to at least be able to manually adjust my option prices.

Kewl idea! I see it is marked PLANNED. When do they think they will get this portfolio option into the system???

Many people use options to adjust trades. I love VV but feel VV would be exceptional if the portfolio could handle option trades other than just a Covered call premium.

If the 22 votes currently tied to this idea were pooled with the 149 votes on the idea "Make the portfolio manager handle options" they might have enough votes to get them interested.

I would like to request "options" being integrated into the whole system. Options Analyzer needs to be greatly updated and incorporated into the system. Options chains are needed.
While Vector Vest is the BEST.....this would make it even better.

I totally agree! VV is fantastic, but is a little "behind" in terms of what it has to offer for people that trade just options. I would be nice if they could include Weekly Options, and let us see the perfomance in our portfolios for option traders.

We can now "Sell to Open" a single leg option but cannot "Buy to Close", Please add this capability.
