Please allow Quicktests to track back a least a full 5 days (To the previous Friday's 4:00pm close. not 7:59pm). Each week my quicktests inaccurately uses 7:59pm (not the desired 4:00pm which would provide an accurate week over week measurement)

Add the Index names to the Quick Test panel
For the Australian version of VV Can we please have the Index names added to the Quick Test. At the moment once the quick test search is done for the Market Index Viewers the results only show the codes and not the names...thank you

Add an end date and/or test period days to QuickTest
I want to test fixed period lengths, say 30/60/90 day periods, from the search date. It's not much use to use QuickTest on a 2004 list and get result based on today's date.

When using Quick Test on stock dates over 5 days old give an option for either using beginning date's beginning prices or ending price
Currently on dates over 5 days old you are forced to use beginning day;s ending price
Since the end price today is hardly ever tomorrows beginning price it would be better to have the option of which beginning price to use

Quicktest end date should not be reset to current if sort is changed
When doing a quicktest in the past one has to manually set the beginning date. The end date defaults to the current date, and needs to be manually set if a date other than the current date is desired for the quicktest.
When after running a Strategy with a past ending date, and then changing the sort the beginning date remains the same, but the ending date changes back to the default (current) date, and needs to be manually re-set. It would be useful to leave the dates (both beginning and ending) as set. Changing the sort when running a…

For VV7 QTests, allow the date to remain constant to compare searches.
In VV7, when doing a Quick Test, any change in the search or going to a new search defaults to the current date. It would be easier to compare searches and/or variations of searches if one could keep the dates constant without having to manually set the desired dates each time.

QuickTest - Preset start date to Previous Day's close.
preset the start date to the previous days close. That covers after hour trading one day and premarket trading the next day. I know---it only takes a few clicks,,,,,,,,,but it would help. thanx

Add Max Drawdown as a column on the Quick Test
This will let you know what kind of risk your taking on each stock and for the basket. It will help you identify your trading style and how much risk your willing to take.

Send QuickTest stocks to Watchlist
Please adapt VectorVest software to enable sending selected QuickTest stocks to a watchlist… ie; QuickTest for best 100 stocks from (12/31)-to-(1/19/10) to a Watchlist>>> Then QuickTest that 100 Top-Stock watchlist for top 30 from (10/30)-to-(1/19/10) and send to 30 stock Watchlist>>> Then QuickTest that 30 stock Watchlist from (3/9/09)-to-(1/19/10) for current Best 10 Stocks… ie; those Best 10 Stocks have been constant gainers throughout the past year and are the most likely gainers in the months ahead…
Are these Best 10 Stocks better prospective gainers than just the Top 10 from QuickTest of the past 12 month… You-betcha… Check it…8 votes -
Seperate Watch List for NSE and BSE
Vector Vest India is less efficient. suppose we do back testing for best ten stocks, actually doing for 5 only. All stocks are repeated twice. So, the actual return indicated by VV India is 50% wrong. To avoid this problem VV India has to introduce seperate pages for NSE and BSE. When we track 2000 stocks using VV India, effectively we are tracking only 1000 stocks.

new tools
If you could gather statistics in real time about whether over the last 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 1 hour (selectable and adjustable in real time) whether your watchlist is in the red more of the time and by how much or if it is in the green more of the time, especially when it oscillates between both. this can be confusing at the present state of the art to assess. Also if it is in the red for a selectable period of time and by how much percentage wise. an alert with a chime would be welcome. as we sometimes…

Days of Prior months diminished in Quicktest calendars
Sometimes in the quicktest calendars there is confusion between the days of the current month and the days of the prior/future months. I would suggest that the days of prior/future months be diminished in intensity on the calendars.
