Lately most conservative Confirmed Calls are going up or down in short period of times.
 
  I believe that BSR component is creating wrong signals. It does not reflect overall market direction.
 
  It needs modification as shown below to include Advances / Declines to come up with overall health of market.
 
  New ratio = BSADR = SQRT of  [(Buys / Sells) x {Advances / Declines}]. This may be more realistic overall market conditions.
 
  You can back test Confirmed Calls for last six months or more time frames and see what happens to confirmed calls.
