Apple/Mac users - Create a full-blown application
We’re proud to announce that VectorVest 7 is now available on Mac OS X 10.7 and later! This solution no longer requires a separate partition or installing Parallels Desktop + Windows. Instead, we use a remote server to host VectorVest 7.
Subscribers will install Parallels RAS Client (free app) to access our software. To start using it, go to http://www.vectorvest.com/install/vectorvest7/mac.

Please, please, PLEASE make VV7 work on MAC, natively.
What is the problem? It is the better device, the better, and more secure system. Why is this so difficult?

There r lots of ipads being used now and it would be nice to be able to see my watch lists in full on it, but I find I have to use my Mac for this. Very disapointing

I know that it is not what any of us want to hear, but I am using VectorVest7 just fine on VMware. Would it be nice to have a native MAC VectorVest7 app yes, but lets face it, chances are our trading system is also on Windows and we need VMware (or a competitive product) to run the trading system any way.
The MAC using base is growing super fast. I just heard not too long ago that if Apple spun on the MAC division, that as a stand alone company it would be # 21 on the Fortune 500 list. Those kinds of numbers will start to get the attention of VectorVest and several other software app developers.

I use a product called LOGMEIN on my Mac to run all sorts of PC applications on my MAC. The app actually runs on a PC at work or at home, but I drive it and see the screens on the road cranking up a simulator run at home and checking QuickBooks at work. Maybe VV should tie some PCs directly to their hub that allow Logmein or Citrix interface to those of us who use Macs.

Actually ...we are being ignored by the experts in vectorvest forum...they will only acknowledge contributions that are easily accomplished before their first donut is consumed...ibmers cant believe another world exists with out needless crashing, blue screen errors, failed updates and random acts of time wasting control/alt/delete...ignoring you is easier than telling you they cant support your incredibly easy to use platform! Regardless of its growth rate...

Like so many others I want no part of Windows. As Apple users grow so should VV.

In order to do either I have to spend $700+ to install Windows and Parallels or Fusion on my Mac.
Why do you think I switched to Mac? The last thing I want to do is install Windows and all the problems that come with it.
Rather than enhance your system to work with us (Mac users) you want us to go to the expense and risk of installing Windows. Who's the customer? You guys are just as arrogant as Mr. Softy.
Ted, smart move using Dr. DiLiddo's name. Too bad that's what it took to get a response from Admin.

We have subscribers running VV7 on the Mac using Parallels or VMware Fusion. Customers using either solution seem to be happy with the results so I can't recommend one over the other.

how does that work?

It would be nice, but I think Mac will have to be at 40-50% market share before it happens. In the interim, I am using VMware Fusion, and having good luck with VV7.

How about accommodating a growing generation...:)

Whoo hoo, 2011! The only people in the forum are paying subscribers??? Why is the VV management team strangely absent from these forums? Are they even showing up for work? Oh, facebook...we certainly have not seen an improvement on the Apple development front...be our our luck they stop at an iphone AP...serious?
Will Dr. DiLiddo please report to to the emergency product developement room?

If you can't make VV UK available on MAC, you should at least be able to make VV fully operational in either Safari or Firefox. Why this obsession with Explorer? The last version of IE Microsoft issued for MAC was v.5, but after some 'issue' the 2 companies had Microsoft stopped producing upgrades. So come on guys - move with the market!!

Paul Smart commented
Yes please for the UK and VV7 realtime most welcome

Can we please get an answer to when we can expect the full version for Mac? With all of the Mac buyers out there, you should be all over this. I'm considering moving away from VV even though I'm a loyal customer.

I just got a mac and trying codewever crossover to load vv7, no luck yet.
Is their anything besides bootcamp that will allow me to use vectorvest on my mac? -

ps...love the ipad and the iphone...but i did notice that the VV 1st rank, 476 votes that i see in this screen shot were for the full blown application for the apple/mac users...should be worthy of serious consideration...
