Apple/Mac users - Create a full-blown application
We’re proud to announce that VectorVest 7 is now available on Mac OS X 10.7 and later! This solution no longer requires a separate partition or installing Parallels Desktop + Windows. Instead, we use a remote server to host VectorVest 7.
Subscribers will install Parallels RAS Client (free app) to access our software. To start using it, go to http://www.vectorvest.com/install/vectorvest7/mac.

Under Pro Trader it would be nice to see adjustable Ti for all the major Ti at least 40
For example instead of just adding a stochastics indicator it must be adjustable so that one can set the 20:80 limits .
For Example:
I want to be able to search for all the stocks in the VV database that are above $5, that are optionable. have a SMA of daily volume of 100,000 shares and that are below 20 using Stochastics or below 30 using RSI or below -80 using Williams %R or have a PPO that has fallen by more than 10% or/and ADX that has moved above 40 etc etc .
So in order to find all stocks that have sold off recently and are ready to bounce I want to use TI so that I can to find these pearls.
By using a few TI such as the PPO, ADX (D- and D+) and candlestick reversal patterns together with a EMA 8 day period. I will be able to isolate those stocks that are ready for a bounce back up. In order to further strengthen the search one can use VST to isolate out the best of the best, so hopefully I have will then have found stocks that have corrected and are not undergoing a full blow reversal . I have already checked this out at Stockcharts.com and am very satisfied that this will be an excellent addition to Pro Trader.
And by using candlestick reversal patterns combined with a few special TI + an EMA 8 period, I am sure that I can find the highest probability stocks that willk trdae oiin the direction that I anticipate.
For example the simple DOJI is so accurate that when used together with a GAP up/down in the Stochastics oversold or overbought situation, plus an EMA of 8 the probabilities of being on the right side of the trade are huge.
One can live off trading Stochastics OS/OB + EMA 8 + Dojis. That's it nothing else is required!
So to enhance Pro Trader all 12 MAJOR REVERSAL SIGNALS will hopefully be included plus adjustable Technical Indicators especially:
RSI, Stochastics, CCI, Chaiken Money Flow, ADX and Directional Movement Indicator, Williams %R, ATR, Acc/Dist, OBV, True Strength Indicator, Ulcer Indicator. PPO to name a few..In my experience there is no better signal for picking up potential reversals than candlesticks. Why is this. I will use an example. Sentiment is THE most NB indicator. And Candlesticks are the best sentiment indicators. In order to know when to trade you must be on the right side of the trade. So as an example I will use this scenario. You have been watching a stock correct and want to buy. Timing is all that matters . So this is what you must do .
Big red candles are forming as the stock descends. So what do you know about human behavior? The majority sell at the bottom (making the living for the PROS) . So you are waiting for a bottom to appear. After a few days you get a warning - a GAP down. Now you really pay attention. You are witnessing panic selling exactly what you want to see. You wait for more signs to indicate that the weak hands have capitulated. And by Jove the candle after the GAP down is a DOJI. What does that tell us. Panic selling PLUS indecision. Indecision at the end of strong selling means? Sentiment is about to change. So you are now on HIGH ALERT. You wait for one more signal and it comes the next day a GAP up. Now you are seeing over zealous enthusiasm ie people are clambering to buy the stock. Who are these people? The SMART money! They have just picked up the stock that you sold out of PANIC. Now a few tweaks to increase the probability of success. A green candle forms after the GAP up, indicating buyers are in and sellers are gone - for now.
YOU BUY. You have just bought within 2days of the bottom. Do you know of any better system?
It goes without saying that the major averages have been bullish or else you are trading against the current.
I have left out a few details so as to not give away my secret.
The candlestick REVERSAL signal that you have just witnessed is actually a Morning Star or Abandoned Baby.
And that is just one of twelve major reversal signals

I have always bought DELL hoping that they could make a decent computer. Every single DELL that I have bought since 1996 has been flawed. The current PC like all the others runs slower than a snail. I have had it to IT - "You are running too many programs they say, you have a virus says someone else etc etc The last bunch of IT pros uninstalled every single added program that I had installed including anti virus programs like McAffee, which they told me was un necessary, because Microsoft did the job adequately?!?
So what do I have?
A Dell desktop running on 24 GIG memory. It takes ages to load.
I argued with the IT people many times and said basically this:
"You guys don't get it." I have told you now for the umpteenth time that I have an Apple MacBook Pro that is 5years old running on 8GIG memory loaded to the gills with about 10 software programs and it has never given me problems. It starts and runs faster than any DELL I have ever had.
It is time for the goons at Microsoft to fold their crap and get out of software and into charity. They are in the top spot only because of the massive installed user base.
Years ago I read in a business journal out of Harvard that compared Apple to Microsoft. The Harvard dudes said that Apple was a failure and Microsoft a success because Apple had no focus. Their report was apparently the poster child of how to not set up a company. They taught it to their MBA graduates. They sung the praises of the successful Microsoft business model to their future business leaders. And now? Microsoft is the dinosaur and Apple rules.
In fact Google (android) and Apple give their OS away for free. They give away what Microsoft uses as their core business model.
I cant wait for the end of Windows. An inferior product that survived because of Microsoft's bullying and outrageous business practices, which was rammed down our throats as consumers and now we are stuck with it.Good bye to Gates et al

Just another voice requesting an Apple version of VV7. I've spoken to 3 computer techs and all of them say that spitting the Apple hard drive is not really a good idea, especially to run just one program.

Sooner or later you have to create a major, stable app that runs across all IOS/Android systems and platforms. Microsoft is less significant every day. The sooner you spend the resources the more subscribers you will still have. Your VV7 is the ONLY Windows-based app I use.

Been a VV customer for years and always thought very highly of the the product, however I'm still amazed that they haven't come up with a Mac version of their application. With Apple's growing market share, one would think that they'd want to appeal to the tens of millions of Mac owners who don't want to run Parallels. It's obvious to me that at this point the VV isn't going to respond to and address the complaints from its customer base unless we vote with our wallets and cancel our memberships. I have no doubt that VV sinks a large part of their revenue in new customer acquisition (just go to any financial site or open up a copy of Investors Business Daily to see all of the VV ads), but that money can go so much further if they would redirect it to their IT division to come up with a Mac version as well as making many other useful enhancements that have come from the feedback of so many customers. I bet that if VV reallocated more of their budget into product upgrades and enhancements, then they'd have to spend less on new customer acquisition due to a higher customer loyalty.

I have so much trouble with my DELL PC, whiuch I bought because VVest does not work on Mac. Please do a VVEST 7 version for Mac. Apple is the largest company with many innovative products. V Vest is also innovative with the Unisearch tool and other proprietary functionalities. So, why not a Mac version?
