Integrate VectorVest RealTime with brokers and existing trading platform to trigger trades.

I would like to see RT integrated with existing broker or trading platforms to execute trades. I do not think it is valuable for VV to become a trading platform in itself, but integrate to existing platforms.

Trading is now available in VectorVest 7 with the new Trade Now feature. Right-click on any stock and click Trade Now to place a trade.

We currently support trading through TradeKing and will be adding more brokerages in the future.

This update is still rolling out to customers, but if you would like to download it now, go to: http://www.vectorvest.com/install/vectorvest7/

If you have a specific brokerage you would like supported, add it as a new Idea (or vote for it if it already exists) on this feedback site.

    I vote for Think or Swim, (TD Ameritrade Gp) the most accomodative team/support arround.

    I second the IB integration comment from Gavin. IB has so many features that align with the VV trading style such as basket trader which allows you to easily trade the basket of 10 stocks with an equal dollar amount for each position.

    VectorVest should eventually coordinate with Interactive Brokers (IB). IB has the lowest trade execution cost & widest trading access to worldwide exchanges. [IB currently provides professional and retail investors the ability to purchase stocks (etc…) on multiple world markets at extremely low commissions.] Under a subscription agreement, VectorVest 7 could hopefully one day be integrated directly into the Interactive Brokers trading platform. With this arrangement worldwide trading access (multiple domestic & foreign exchanges), real-time quotes, and VectorVest information/ analytics could be integrated into a single platform. VectorVest could be used for real time portfolio management/ analysis, evaluate trading ideas, & trigger trades.

    Be patient on this request guys ... this is a lot more complicated to accomplish that people realize ... so be patient with the VectorVest team on this one.

    Currently in VV7 when i update the transcation log, it resets all the trailing stop loses. Which such major bugs that I have reported long ago and still not fixed making VV7 unusable for me.
    With this type of code quality, i would be worried about letting VV make automatic trades.

    Since this is already in the works, may I also request that tick data be included in the integration, if available.

    Agreed, as a daytrader, I already have my own custom indicators, trend lines, and charting options I use every day from my broker, VV would provide a tremendous value to me RT if I could say, bring up an MTI chart in Tradestation, providing better integration by incorporating VV into MY RT world as opposed to trying to recreate it.     Yes, intergrate with broker trading platform is a must.

    Every Online Trading House has a Trading Platform, But I have not seen a tool as capable as RT. It will be IMHO the best Trading Platfrom out there, even better than Think or Swim's Platfrom
