VU VIEWS / SOTW Dec 27, 2013, came out with a brand new SFS called SFS 2014 .. Brian D’Amico gave a beautiful description of the properties of the new 2014 strategy and how to use SFS 2014
the properties and management of the new SFS 2014 were totally different from properties and management of the prior and continuing standard SFS system … specifically, (1) management of prior SFSs, like other strategies, required use of UNISEARCH tab and BACKTESTER tab and preparation of BACKTESTER tab required input of complex settings .. (2) management of the new SFS 2014 strategy was totally new and was incompatible with concurrent use of BACKTESTER (3) specifically, the new SFS 2014 requires management with UNISEARCH and a scribble log of trading events and BACKTESTER is not used in any way ..
to complicate matters further, a new SFS 2014 has not come out for the Canadian mkt and VV failed to make this clear … both the American mkt and the Canadian mkt continue to depend on UNISEARCH and BACKTESTER for the standard SFS ..
I suspect that I was not the only VV subscriber who was confused by the new SFS 2014 … I also thought that even some of the VV technical staff were, initially, not completely abreast of the fullness of the changes …
I have commented on a VV breakthrough combined with a partial miss … keep up the good work, VV ..
