  2. A permanent field already exists that divides price by MA Stop price. I would like to use a designated MA price to create a custom field that can be used to sort on in unisearch and watchlists. I use the 40 day MA price to identify entry points. Many strong stocks seem to retrace to the 40 day before they turn back to positive momentum.
    *** custom field = price / 40MA(price) ***

  3. Currently, there is no UniSearch screen that allows me to find stocks that are within x% of 52 Highs or Lows. The x% (e.g. 10% or 20 % etc.) should be a variable that users can specify.

  4. I use this criteria a lot when building my screens. Stocks that are highly shorted have a greater propensity to run

  5. If I change one parameter and save the search, the search name goes to the bottom of that group and is not in alphabetical order. It would be nice to get it in an alphabetical order automatically or to have command for sorting search names.
Only way to get names in order is to log-off and log-on again. It’s not convenient.

  8. Allow searches in Unisearch to be set to weekly or end of week. If you can crate it on a Vector Vest Graph you should be able to search for it in Unisearch.
    Thanks

  9. Since there are so many available, it would be nice to be able to create a listing of the searches with the comments explaining what they are searching for. As a new user it may take me a long time to go through and read these one by one if I have to click on each one. With a listing I could make a quick decision on which ones I may be helpful for my style of investing and or the current market conditions. Then I could simply print the list and high light which ones I wanted to use.

  10. Please make total number of stocks available on the screen in UniSearch area, exactly as it used to be in your version 6. Lack of this feature is very inconvenient, as it involves manual count.
    Thank you

  11. I want to eliminate stocks from certain countries in searches and to identify stocks by country in watchlists. A Chinese company might have a P/E of 7 where an American company with otherwise similar fundamentals might have a P/E of 18. There is no easy way I know of to tell in VV what country a stock is from. JASO, for example, is not identified as a Chinese company in the full stock write-up. American and Chinese stocks, for example, are apples and oranges. They should be easily separated in searches, along with other countries (Russian stocks).

  12. It would be helpful to create a way in the search parameter that would allow a determination of the latest entry into the watch list by using the "Date/Time" parameter.

  13. Dr. DiLiddo discusses his acid test (50/150) EMA for deciding to buy a stock after it has dropped; I cannot find a Unisearch tool using those parameters. Unless I am overlooking it, could you consider adding that search. Thanks. John Elliott

  14. Adding a rich calendar of holidays, earnings, macro-economic release dates and times, ex-dividend payouts, "last week of <month>" would allow searching and backtesting for stocks that have consistent behavior surrounding these events (e.g. Search for stocks that trend upward for the week each year prior to "US Thanksgiving" or "Good Friday", or stocks that drop and recover share price within 5 days of ex-dividend date or go up in the afternoon when "New Home Sales" are reported positively in the morning). Allow these event markers to be stop criteria as well.

  15. Allow users to subtract one moving average from another. For example, the 10 day MA(RT) - 15 day MA(RT) to allow users to see the rate at which the 10 day MA is changing in relation to the 15 day MA. Would apply to other MAs as well.

  16. Insdustry/Sector coverage in Australia is not as deep as it is in the USA. For example there is no Gold Mining or Metals & Minerals in industry or sector viewer only Materials. Seaches like Stalwarts would benefit from greater Industry/Sector Depth/Coverage.

Please consider taking a feed of GICS classifications for the ASX http://www.asx.com.au/products/gics.htm & http://www.investors.asn.au/education/shares/understanding-shares/asx-sectors/

  18. There are maybe over 200 strategies in Unisearch. When these are referred to in Derby or SOTW etc., it is so frustrating and time consuming to locate them under the correct folder in Unisearch. In addition there are some strategies in Derby that do not appear to be in Unisearch. Some users have suggested either a Search button or an additional "Folder" column in Derby. I would like instead that Vector Vest prepares an Excel or pdf format table. The first column would be the Name of the Strategy, the second column, the appropriate Folder in Unisearch, the third column will…

  19. On unisearch lists, viewer lists, portfolio lists, etc., add the ability to see a definition of an abbreviation when hovering over it: RV, RS, RT, VST, etc.. As a newbie, I don't remember them all, or I have to go fish.

  20. how to pick the best stock within A industry? In feb22 SOW, 2 stocks:CP and CNR from transportation industry. How to use unisearch to limit only one stock per each top industry? I had discussed this request with your staff on Feb 28th and did not get an anwser. Also, I would like to use unisearch to list just top industries without using the industry viewer.

    Thanks!
    regards,
    Irene cheng (IRCHENG @ 403-295-2284)
