Possibility to sort Stocks/ETF's on monthly, yearly, YTD basis
Currently, any sort on daily basis. The suggested sorts will allow to see historical performance.

Hi Ton,
That is a great idea that I would encourage you to submit to the Improvement Department under the Training Tab.
The quicktest is just that – a Quicktest that takes you from point A to point B. Your BackTester would be more incline to go a little bit more in depth as I am sure you know.

tried this even with bill in tech support. the market timing graph can not be modified and the modifications show as default upon future openings of the graph. for example I want the following defaults to be on there everytime I open it: 3 month period, confirmed calls showing up, orange line at previous days close not to show. can you make it happen please?
also want to receive text alerts when the vv index hits a certain value. can you make it happen please?1 vote -

Sector diversification graphs
VV currently displays Stocks and Industries diversification pie-charts in the Reports section of Portfolios. Could we also have the option of a sector diversification pie-chart?

It is crazy!Just look at Fridays close on the JSE:
Assore is priced at 30,208.00 cents . WHY?
This should be in Rands and Cents just like Dollars and Cents
So what the heck is 30,208? Who prices US stocks in cents?
It is easy to get confused because of the placing of the comma.
At first glance it looks like it should be R30.20? Or is it R302.08?
Please price Assore as follows:

QuickList Delete on Home page
QuickList Delete button permanently deletes your watchlist with one click. I accidentlly clicked "delete" when I meant to click "detach". Then, poof, if was gone. It took me months to get my watchlist just the way I like it. Now I have to do it all over again. Maybe require a double click such as a warning like, "are you sure you want to delete?" before actually deleting the QuickList on the home page.

It would be nice to be able to draw a LSF - Freehand - in Graphs.
By doing this one can for example - draw a LSF line from lo to hi and see straight away what the CAGR is e.g. by hovering the cursor over the LSF line, the CAGR is revealed in numerical data eg 23.76%1 vote -

Enable Sector and Industry by EMA crossovers. This is highly relevant for sector and industry rotation in the markets.
EMA crossovers on sectors have been very useful in determining sector rotations especially in market tops and bottoms. This capability is available for stocks but not for sectors and industries. This would enhance the capabilities of VECTORVEST greatly.

custom build volume moving average to compare volume surge for a specific MA(Vol)
I wanted to compare Volume surge today to 20day MA of volume to see the conviction for the stock. There is no way in custom field to build this field. I tried with Vector Vest Tech. personnel over half an hour and he suggested to create request to allow this to be created. You already have a field for 50 day Moving average of volume. I am looking for a 20 day. I created this field using custom field builder but could not compare to daily volume surge with a specific multiplier.

deleting stock
When viewing a watchlist and selecting all entries, I can view stock graphs. While viewing ALL graphs I "x" out, back to the list. Right clicking on one (any) line I clicked on delete, and lost my whole list! There should be a warning like "are you sure you know what you are doing?" before a deletion. Confirmation would help.

Include "BEST FIT WEEKLY" filter in Unisearch Protrader under Directional Indicators
I use Directional Indicator +D(14) crossover -D(14)" Best Fit Weekly graph" of shares as it gives the best indication of a sustainable uptrend of a share. However, the filter "Directinal Indicator" in Protrader in Unisearch only shows crossovers for 1 day up to 30 days. This is not really very helpful as there is far too much "noise" associated with it. By using the "Best Fit Weekly" it removes much of the "noise" and gives a much clearer indication of a sustainable uptrend. The "best Fit Weekly" is obtainable only by opening a graph of the share. Each of the available searches in ProTrader should display the chart that matches the actual search criteria automatically without the user having to insert all the parameters when the chart is opened
