Thank you for your thoughtful feedback on the Market Timing experience in the web app beta. It’s clear you’ve spent time with both platforms, and we truly appreciate your detailed perspective.
You're absolutely right, the Color Guard and Market Timing tools in VV7 are powerful and informative, and your idea to integrate the new design alongside those tools is well noted. Many of the decisions in this first tier were made intentionally to make the VectorVest system easier to learn for users who are new to our methodology, even if they have experience investing elsewhere.
This initial tier is focused on guiding users through “When to Buy, What to Buy, and When to Sell” using a simplified layout that supports onboarding and confidence-building. Our focus is on making graphs intuitive for newer users while still powerful enough to support deeper analysis as investors grow. Thank you for this feedback, and yes, Robert is on the right track. This first tier is really intended to help users new to VectorVest to learn the system, and to appeal to users who really just want this base level of prudent guidance and doesn't want to dig into deeper data. The next tier, which in currently being designed, will have a home page that will be much more familiar to those who are experienced with VectorVest 7. Feedback like yours will help greatly in building that tier to something that experienced users like you are going to love. It will also be helpful to hear from you about what was most helpful for you when you were a new user. What was most helpful when learning the system and what turned you from a new user into the power user you are today. Thanks!

We agree that charting is a critical part of the VectorVest experience—especially for users who rely on technical setups like crossovers, custom timeframes, or standard deviation-based indicators.
In this first phase, we’ve intentionally limited the graphing tools to reduce complexity and help newer users focus on the fundamentals of our system. But robust charting is absolutely on the roadmap, and your input helps ensure we prioritize the right features—like parameter adjustments, indicator overlays, and customizable setups—in future updates.
Would you be open to sharing which specific strategies or indicators matter most to you? Knowing how you use graphs for entries and exits helps us shape a solution that meets real trading workflows.
