Simple numerical ranking system
Hi there...I've been a vectorvest subscriber for about 2 years now. One suggestion I have is to have a numerical ranking system...say adding another variable "R" to the other columns already available. All this would show would be the position the stock is ranked out of all the stocks currently being tracked. For example, looking at the top 5 stocks as off today, CTEL would be ranked 1/7998, RICK would be 2/7998, SWM would be 3/7998..etc. This way when you look at a stock's history you could see that a stock's VST has made it move up significantly, say from…

RT Ranking calculation problem
Stocks should be weighted by Mkt Cap when determining RT Ranking, so that minuscule stocks don't unrealistically skew results. An example on 1/18/2010: an Industry 10-day RT Delta search shows the Mining (Uranium) Industry in position 4, mainly because URHNE (a tiny Uranium company) is up 93.3% for the day, catapulting this industry up from an RT Ranking of 168 to 4. The results are skewed and deceptive.

Pay more attention to the short term technical signals.
Your essay this week centered on why your buy signals were not as profitable as they should have been. I noticed that your buy or sell signals coinside with overbought or oversold technical signals not the buyng of your subscribers. Check daily and weekly bolenger bands, commodity index and slow stacstics to see what I am refering to. I will demonstrate if you wish. I have recommended your sevice as a great search engine and have been very successful with several approaches. Channel breakout variations, bolenger reversals both bear and bull, industry delta, with stock selection within industries. Refining the…

Run the Sample Portfolios with real money
Run the sample portfolios with real money -- which should be a money maker given the paper-trading results. By doing so and having the results audited, you'd have the best marketing tool possible . . . and get away from the penny stock strategies I suspect.

The BSR needs to be reconfigured
The BSR needs to be reconfigured to eliminate inaccuracy and distortion caused by double counting. Stocks within ETFs and Market Industries are counted twice. Similarly, stocks within Contra ETFs are counted inversely. The simple solution is to eliminate all ETFs and all securities within Market industries from the BSR calculation.

Create a standard and advanced workflow option
Create two interfaces; one for less experienced investors with a simplified workflow and an advanced one that opens up all the options we currently have. (Since we already have the advanced version, we need only create a simplified version.) Since we sometimes get feedback from customers saying that our interface is too complex, this could address that issue as well as luring less experienced investors who aren't currently customers. The simplified version could include a wizard that will help the user define what type of investor they are and with that information, suggest possible strategies that fit with the identified…
