  1. Create a new chart indicator (analysis) that applies color guard rules to the price bars of each stock. If the current stock price is > the price 1, 5 and 10 periods ago, the price bar should be green. If the current price is < the price 1,5, and 10 periods ago, price bar should be red. Any other scenario would color the price bar yellow (indicating it is in a transition phase). The user should be allowed to set the various time periods and conditions for coloring the price bars.

  2. If you use purchase on next days open, VV 7 will still buy the stock, even if there is no volume. I tried vol > 0, but that doesn't work on the next days' open purchase. In this search, I preferred not to use a 50 day average amount of volume. Example, GLBZ on 12/23/10. I think VV 7 needs to have a default setting built in, to not buy when there is no volume.

  4. It would be useful, especially for those who don't want to flip stocks often, to include a "turnover" calculation as part of a Back-Test.

While this can be approximated by the number of trades, the duration of the test is also a factor. 10 trades over 100 days is very different from 10 trades over 20 days.

If there is no obvious turnover calculation, an "average days held", for all positions taken during the test, would suffice.

Max draw-down is a measure of how much pain one may have to tolerate. A turnover measure would be a measure of portfolio…

  5. In the stock charts, in the middle of the chart right below the stock symbol, it shows the Sector. I think it would be helpful for it to show either the rank of the sector or the RT of the sector.

  6. I realize that this is the initial release with Just MACD and S/R. Other Protrader searches would be great. MA crosses, combinations of parameters (i.e. MACD + DPO), etc.

  7. I'd like to export or copy the text of the parms of a unisearch query so we can share/save them outside VV. The ability to use Windows copy/paste would be perfect

  9. As VV is moving towards VV7 and no reserch being done for VV6, simulator and Variator. Due to this all mony we spend in purchasing this product may be wasted. Suggest if VV is now only promoting VV& thsy should provide ability to run Simulator and Variator under VV7 free of charge

  12. Create an Excell spreadsheet-dates in left column; Strategies 1-5 on horizontal axis. After ten days or so, we'd be able to see which strategies were emerging & which were becoming less relevant. Yes, we can do this by going through the past weeks and noting which strategies appeared the most, but a spreadsheet, esp one with strategies color-coded would make this much easier to see and visualize.

  14. Wouldn't it be GREAT if VV users could be alerted to Industry & Sector price momentum changes? But, because Industries and Sectors can't be added to a Watchlist, it is not possible for Watchdog to scan them. I'd like to see VV change that.

  15. Currently the graph all (or graph 10), button starts the graph today. If the search was run 5 years back, it is painful to manually align the graph for each run of the search

  20. For my long stocks I would like to see an option in the Backtest as well as the Portfolio that automatically calculates the Dividend Yield and re-invests that yeild into the stock. I believe this will more accurately portray my portfolio and backtests, especially in my long searches/tests.
