  1. Subject: Taxable Gain or Loss (Thread:237316)

Please consider putting a total Gain and a total loss column on the view tax report on the portfolio reports tab.

Otherwise I have to print all of the trades and then manually figure quarterly gains for estimated tax purposes.

    Thanks for your time

  4. Allow a search criteria that finds candidates only when certain market conditions are met. For example, one could require that the SPX be higher than the open or the day before ... or that the MTI have risen or be higher or lower than some number. Obviously, it might help to have several different choices for such criteria (whether it be the SPX, MTI, BSR, etc.).

  5. I strongly suggest to include Volatility SL over price. It will help tremendously in interpretation of short term Support/Resistance levels for excellent entry point decisions.

  6. When I make a portfolio can I add a column to show what “Todays $ Gain” is. If there is no way for me to add that column now could you add that column in an update? It would be great to see what the dollar gain is for that day with out having to get out the calculator.

    Thanks
    Bob

  7. Create stop loss for a portfolio, not just stocks in portfolio. This may help reduce drawdown.

  8. I have a search which looks for high value stocks which have dropped below a moving average and now are moving above it. I want to be able to quickly see the percentage gain if the stock goes back to its previous high (resistance level). On each graph, the high price is clearly marked with a yellow triangle with an H inside it. I would like to be able to access that calculation of the high point in order to make a custom field that subtracted present price from previous high and used that as a divisor for the previous…

  11. In every backtest, the built-in-comparison should be against buy-and-hold without all the bells and whistles of using other methods to determine it. Just put it proudly and bluntly on every graph as a record of how all your trading does against buy-and-hold and add a second draw-down for buy-and-hold. This gives a base-line for people to compare with.

  13. right now you can have a side by side comparison of weekly and daily charts by entering stock symbols in each field. Why not have the ability to enter one string of stock symbols and have them appear in the same sequence? Even if you enter the same string in each field today, sometimes the symbols dont display in the same order.

  14. In the backtester and portfolios there is a checkbox for intraday stops. When this box is not checked, end-of-day stops are used. For the portfolios, when stops are listed would like to see whether intraday or end-of-day stops are used.

  17. I have developed a watchlist where none of the stocks have lost as much as 10% in ten years. This would be good for buy and hold retirees that fear big yearly losses. Not sure how to get it to you for interested parties to use.I call it 10 yr low loss dividend stocks.

  18. Longer term investment strategies also have derby like features. Over time the best of the best searches within a category vary. Include separate Prudent,Conservative,Aggressive.,& Speculative Searches names to Derby Search Tab to identify leading current strategy in each category and their rising stocks.for tailored stock selection

  19. The default sort order for portfolios, well there doesn't seem to be any. Even customer service doesn't know. Alphabetically would be nice, or by VST Descending. It is rare that anyone wants to sort ascending, but that is the default sort order when clicking a heading on any column. Please change the default sort to descending with clicking on a column header.

  20. Can you add an upper limit to the Derby Settings box where we can limit the maximum price of the stocks that are returned? I can't afford a $1,500 per share stock.
