  1. BackTester results grid sorting is slow when results are grouped

    To replicate the problem:

    Create 100+ backtests
    Group the results (e.g. by Start Date)
    Click a column header to sort (e.g. by % G/L)
    The UI freezes for several seconds while it sorts the results grid.

    It would be great to have a simple Reference Guide that lists all Vector Vest Fields From UniSearch with description of what the number is and why the # is useful. For example one of the vector vest fields is EY + RV10+RT10/Actual Price. Why is this number important? What is it's use? Why is this particular calculation relevant?

  5. When I try to print my backtest results, I can't get the results to print on one page. If I could select columns to print that would fix it.

    If I could select the columns I wanted to print, or reduce the width of a column, I could then get the results I want to print all on one page rather than having the last two columns on the next page.

  8. I realize that you want your customers to use your platform to make trades, etc..,but obviously you do not trust the Ipad or Iphone platform

    First My wife and I have desktop computers, Ipads, and Iphones, and apparently they can not be used at the same time and without fail we leave your program up on a desktop and while we are watching TV we try to crank up Vector Vest on our Ipad or Iphone. Your program in an effort to save you money or create a new cash flow mode doesn't let our Iphone and desktop to be up in your program at the same time. WHY? Second, I would like to make changes in my portfolio from my Ipad or Iphone and…

  9. So please, if you can add a suggestion to either be able to use a keyboard shortcut to sort in the reverse order from the default, OR change

    Whenever I click on a column to sort it (for example, the REC column) instead of the sort being the more logical "Buy to Sell," it is always the opposite. Therefore I have to ALWAYS click to sort, wait, then click again to sort.

    Please add a keyboard shortcut (like Shift+Click, etc.) that I can use or setting I can change so that any first attempt to sort by any column would be from good to bad (high to low), etc.

  10. Options Analyser: If DEF EXPIRY DATE same or before TRADE DATE, try to add extra positions gives error & cannot adjust former (greyed out)

    Default option expiry date should be able to be adjusted at any time & not greyed out

    I'm sick of all the small updates to VV7 that force me to reset how I've set up my system. It's a time waste and and poor programming. And that doesn't even include the updates that force you to reboot the system.

    I have been using the Back test facility for some time now and would offer some observations and comment that I feel might improve the understanding and use of this tool.

    1. There is a possibility that members could be confused between the terminology of a HOLDING in a portfolio and the number of positions within a holding.
      You use the term POSITION in the MORE SETTINGS tab where I think you mean HOLDINGs

              When the options are positioned NOT to restrict further investments in a company, multiple positions can arise in one        HOLDING.

        A breakdown of the portfolio clearly shows

  16. Choice for Portfolios Summary

    As we are limited to only 10 portfolios with the Genius/Auto Timer ON, for those of us with many portfolios, it would be a lot easier to have an option to check only those. You could have a checkbox like you now have for VV Portfolios to only select and see the active ones (Genius/Auto Timer ON). This way, we don't have to scroll down by all the Manual portfolios to see how we're doing with the 10 Auto ones.

  17. Add Sort/insert to UniSearch Parameters

    Adding a sort/insert function to UniSearch Parameters would make modifications/editing so much easier to accomplish. I'm surprised it isn't there.

  18. Subject: Pending orders

    When one has selected a basket of stocks in the portfolio, and populated the pending order page with IB brokers; entering symbols and quantity and the market turns down, one is locked into the IB page. To leave the brokers page, one must cancel all input, loose data manually entered.
    Please allow the IB trade pending to remain populated when exiting and hold the pending orders for the remainder of the trading day. that way one can return to the populated pending page later, and quickly execute orders.
