Incoporate dividends into backtesting results

Backtesting without including dividends is useless if you are using strategies that focus on dividends. I have complained about this before but nothing happens.

I can't believe the dividends have not been incorporated into backtesting results. It appears this comment was first submitted back in 2010 and nothing has been done yet. UNACCEPTABLE

No only in back tests, but also in Portfolios. Plus franking for the Australian market.

I'm surprised this isn't already a major feature of the backtesting module. High dividend paying stocks and one-time large dividend paying stocks will be excluded or ranked lower. Not very accurate.

Please do add the dividend tally. I'm surprised this isn't already a major feature of the backtesting module, at least for long only strategies.

Agree w/ this suggestion! It was the very 1st question I asked VV. There are Div searches/strategies, but the BT doesn't give "credit" for them.

Also include an optin to show total return in the graph and performance indicators

als oincorporate into the portfolio data to show dividends to show the income produced and optionally added to the gains(amounts and as precentage).

Allow the option for dividends to be included in backtesting results. Good way to see performance differance of various search results using DY variations. Given your recent work with retirement planning and porfoilio management this would be a fantastic tool.
