  2. add field for institutional ownership to show % shares held by mutual funds, pension plans, etc.

    the % of shares held by large investors such as pension funds, mutual funds, etc can be important in stock movement. consider adding this info as a field in portfolios , watchlists, searches, etc. and/r in the search criteria.

  12. Closed Ended Investment Trusts and Funds - Add NAV or Premium / Discount to NAV

    For Closed Ended Investment Trusts of Funds an important parameter to understand before making an investment is the Discount / Premium to Net Asset Value (NAV). Buying at too high a Premium to NAV is considered a Risk. At present Vectorvest attempts to give us a "RV" score for an Investmnet Trust / Fund looking out 3 years into the future - for a collective investment with an active manager who Vectorvest has no knowledge of their future decisions. This is misleading at best. At other times Vectorvest treats a Trust or Fund in the same way as an ETF…

  13. Include a new field which is the ROI (ROIC) and possibly ROE as well.

    Dear sirs,
    I have used VV since 2000. I am requesting that you add a data point field
    that I believe would be of great value and benefit to all VV users. The
    field is ROIC which is Return On Invested Capital. It is one of the most
    significant factors in looking for persistent out-performers. It shows how
    well the management does with the company assets.

    I believe you get your specific data from Yahoo and Zack's but you may have
    additional sources. I know Yahoo has the data point in their "Statistics"
    on their stock research page. I presume…

  14. REITs are evaluated based on FFO and not EPS. For REITS, please replace EPS data in your database with FFO (or AFFO). Much more usefull.

    REITs are evaluated based on FFO and not EPS. For REITS, please replace EPS data in your database with FFO (or AFFO). Much more useful. P/E becomes P/FFO. No new fields just store FFO in EPS fields for REITS.

    I create this custom field: 10 Day MA (Range). This field appears to be functional in the Unisearch app but it will not populate in the Viewer List.

    Portfolio Record is very important for stocks and entering manually is not user friendly in Vector Vest compared to most other competitive software I use.
    1 Does not allow for 1/2% duty we pay in UK for buying transaction only.
    2 Does not allow for entering Gross cost and no. of stocks only and allowing V V to work out cost per share whilst entering the transactions. It will simplify and increase the speed..
    3 A particular stock may have 5 transactions over a period of time. It is useful to see Transaction log only for that particular stock to…

    I'd like to see a manual where the Custom Field Builder is explained. Shows: How it works; Best practices for for creating fields; Examples; etc. And what added features, if any, do the various "add ons" (eg. ProTrader) bring to the CFB.
