Please consider Adding channel lines to VV7 charts (like Support & Resistance lines).
I appreciate the Support Resistance Line option you included this week in the Charts section.
Perhaps this is already on the "drawing board", but having the ability to automatically add channel lines would be great. As you know, S/R lines are rarely horizontal.

allow copying of tranactions data from one portfolio into another portfolio
I would like to create different portfolios for various searchs and strategys, but also a larger portfolio that contains the results of several searchs/strategys for a more overall look and tracking? This would be easy if the copying of transaction data from one portfolio into another. Thus combining several strategys into the larger one. or vice-versa by coping selected position or tranactions into a new portfolio.
Without this ability, if is much more difficult as you have to enter all the data twice.2 votes -
Allow searches for new highs/lows on user defined parameters
Allow the ability to look for new highs or lows for user created custom fields. This ability is already present in ProGraphics 6 (offline version) and I use it every day.

Add the day's performance % of a stock's benchmark index (or the MTI) to the stock's history data.
Add the day's performance % of a stock's benchmark index (or the MTI) to the stock's history data. The comparative daily performance of the stock vs it's index would be useful in developing selection strategies.

on VV 7 please give us the ability to change the right hand price scale to reflect smaller increment
often times the price of a stock is in $5 increments - when looking at trends, fibonacci levels etc it is hard to interpolate the price at these levels - please give us the ability to change the price level to smaller $ increments

Can I suggest a more accurate report when running a quick test?
Can I suggest a more accurate report when running a quick test?
The average rate of return is not correctly reported. This appears to be an average on the averages, but it should be the rate of return on the average beginning price and the ending price for the selection.
Try it by running a stock test on say 4 items, add up the sum of opening balances and subtract this from the sum of closing balances, and the value difference as a % of the opening balances.
Or simply take the difference between average opening and closing balances as…

Multiple Bactest Edits
The ability to mark certain backtests (with perhaps the Ctrl Key and change multiple backtests would prevent alot of tedious one by one changes to see results. I love backtests but it is a bit slow sometimes and this feature would allow one to mark them, hit run and have all updated.

Allow user defined "notes" fields in backtest chart.
As many as desired - to allow user selected sorts of backtest results. 3 should be plenty. Right now you can only create a field if it is a "formula"

Add the number of days for the BHS status of a stock--right beside the BHS column
Without having to click on history, I would like to know how many days a stock has, for example, been rated a Buy. Finding a B-rated stock 10 d late is frustrating.
