1. Include "BEST FIT WEEKLY" filter in Unisearch Protrader under Directional Indicators

   I use Directional Indicator +D(14) crossover -D(14)" Best Fit Weekly graph" of shares as it gives the best indication of a sustainable uptrend of a share. However, the filter "Directinal Indicator" in Protrader in Unisearch only shows crossovers for 1 day up to 30 days. This is not really very helpful as there is far too much "noise" associated with it. By using the "Best Fit Weekly" it removes much of the "noise" and gives a much clearer indication of a sustainable uptrend. The "best Fit Weekly" is obtainable only by opening a graph of the share. Currently a scan up to 300 graphs of shares every Monday night when they are updated. I use other filters to select the shares of interest to me based on more fundamental analysis, but will not make a purchase decision until the directional indicators cross. All this is very time consuming as I have to do it manually and I can't use any of the facilities that Vectorvest provide.
   Therefore, can you please incorporate a " Best Fit Weekly" Directional Indicator filter in Protrader. I think you will be amazed how accurately and often it identifies sustainable up trend of a share.

2. Each ProTrader search should show up automatically when the chart is opened

   Each of the available searches in ProTrader should display the chart that matches the actual search criteria automatically without the user having to insert all the parameters when the chart is opened

5. Allow User settings to be saved in a Portfolio

   Improvement Request:

   Since I have been a subscriber to VectorVest (many years) I have had a problem with the User Portfolio settings. I have several different Portfolios set up for different stocks and can add my stocks to them and then arrange the various columns the way I want, but the problem is that the columns do not stay where I put them. If I leave the Portfolio screen and then return to it I find that all of the columns have gone back to their default positions and once more I have to re-arrange them. I have clicked on everything I could find trying to find a way to save my settings but was not able to do so. This has been an irritation to me since I began using VectorVest years ago. I finally got irritated enough with this problem to call Support about it recently and was told "That's just the way it is and there is no way to save User Settings". This I could not believe! Surely with all of things VestorVest is able to do, saving User Settings in a Portfolio should be a simple thing to do.

   What added fuel to the fire more recently (and what prompted this writing) was what I found happening after I performed the latest VV upgrade a few days back. Upon completing the upgrade I now find that along with having to re-arrange my Portfolio columns each time, when I click on a different Portfolio, that darn Genius block is there covering half of my chart screen and I have to click on it TWICE to minimize it! In addition, when I click on my other Portfolios, each in turn, that Genius blocks pops back up again and each time I have to click TWICE to get rid of it! This should not be. That is regression, not progress. The Support person I spoke with before this last problem (after the upgrade) suggested that I report these problems to be fixed and added to the next upgrade. I sincerely hope this will happen.

6. Expand quick test limitation of 100 stocks. It is no longer possible to follow the top YTD, 6 mos, ...etc performers in Vectorvest.

7. Can't close Android App

   Since the last beta update, I can no longer completely close this app. It runs in the background, which is unacceptable. I click on NO to run in the background, and the app doesn't close. If I click on the Android home button or back button, they don't close the app. I can only click on the Force Stop button to close this app. For security reasons, I want this app to close completely and require a password to reopen it. Please fix. Thank you.

8. Help

   How do I set up a portfolio where:
   Mkt in UP condition: Buy stocks with a certain +/- profit locker lets say +40/-25.....
   Mkt in DN condition: Do buy or sell short anything, and adjust the profit locker (effectively tightening stops) to say +40/-10 on all stocks I have (purchased in Mkt UP condition).
   One or two of the folks there didn't think it could be done.

11. It would be nice if you could automatically change the stops when entering a down market condition even though you select no action

    When entering a down market condition and you select no action, being able to change the stops automatically would be very helpful... I know it can be done manually but automation is needed for back testing.

13. Software bug in Backtester

    In VV7 Backtester It is difficult, if not impossible, to reproduce the "Easy Rider" strategy as demonstrated in the 3 Easy Rider videos of 2011 (VV6 was in use at that time).
    The problems are:
    1. It is only possible to setup Long or Short trades and not both unless Market Timing is checked (Easy Rider requires both Long and Short trades and does not require Market Timing).
    2. Once Market Timing is checked it is necessary to elect one Search in the setup process which persists throughout the strategy run. This frustrates selecting the appropriate searches from the Derby Winners as required throughout the strategy run.
    3. Once the initial search is selected you then have to delete the replacement share that is automatically chosen during the strategy run to be able to run a search appropriate to the Derby Winners (Following steps 1 & 2, the option to deselect "Automatically replace closed positions" is not available).
    4. When "Trade from Search" is then selected to find a replacement share after Step 3 the share chosen by the software bears no relationship to the top VST shares of the Unisearch and seems to be arbitrarily selected.

    Finally, when I asked for an instructor to see if he/she could take me through the setup, or do it themselves, I was offered a 15 minute lesson "Getting started in VectorVest".
    Immensely frustrating and of no use to me at all !!!

14. BETA APP -- % gain/loss in Portfolio is wrong. Either use decimal value or %...not both at same time.

    Noticed that the portfolio gain on individual stocks is incorrect because both the decimal value and % sign are combined. Off by a factor of 100.

18. be able to change text color on portolio reports

    Text in portfolio reports especially transaction reports are in red and green. For a color blind person it is very difficult to see the green text on a white background.

    An option to have all black text would help.

20. BackTester results grid sorting is slow when results are grouped

    To replicate the problem:

    Create 100+ backtests
    Group the results (e.g. by Start Date)
    Click a column header to sort (e.g. by % G/L)
    The UI freezes for several seconds while it sorts the results grid.
