In Portfolios: We need $ amount for Profit or Loss for portfolio.
In previous version use to show Profit or Loss for particular portfolio in $ amount. It's not there any more. I think it should be put back.

By creating a Manual for Custom Field Builder
I'd like to see a manual where the Custom Field Builder is explained. Shows: How it works; Best practices for for creating fields; Examples; etc. And what added features, if any, do the various "add ons" (eg. ProTrader) bring to the CFB.

Include imputation Credits in dividend etc calculations in Australian stocks
Australian dividends displayed do not take into account tax imputation credits which are available for many Australian stocks. This omission distorts the otherwise excellent ratings.

Add a High or Low for the past N periods for Price, Moving Averages, RT, VST, etc
For variables (like Moving Averages, VST, RT, etc) that are calculated for each bar (hour, day, week, etc.) define MAX(Variable, N) and MIN(Variable, n) functions (maximum of minimum of the "Variable" in the past "n" periods) that can be used in UniSearch criteria. A market should be optionally shown in the chart.
This is a generalization of putting the 52-week high/low on the chart.
This would allow a UniSearch for sticks meeting Dr DiLiddo's "Midas Touch" analysis as follows:
If RT > MAX (RT,90) and
MA(10) => Max (MA(10),90) and
MA(40) => MAX(MA(40),90) and
MA(10) > MA(40),
then select stock.2 votes -

Make most recent transaction on the top of the list in your portfolios
Make most recent transactions on the top in your portfolios. Presently the older transactions are on the top. I can reverse it but it does not remember it for the next time.

Market Timing Sequence
For the Graphs Timing System dropdown list(timing markers)......the list is in random order........why can't they be positioned slow to fast (or fast to slow) so users can step through in a fast logical sequence without thinking? Also change timing sequence in Backtester/AutoTimer/Genius Portfolio.
For new Users this is an obstacle to ease of use learning process.2 votes -
Add S&P Earnings from "Climate Graph" to timing systems.
Add VV earnings from "Climate" to timing systems. An example of how this would be used is, the Genius would enable hedging on a C/dn when VV Earnings are below 1.

VectorVest Real Time needs a real time volume assessment tool.
VV provides the %Vol for each stock that compares the EOD volume for that stock to its 50 day moving average of volume but this is strictly an EOD value. Real-Time needs its equivalent. I call it the VIVA , which stands for Virtual Intraday Volume Assessment.. This would be a new field, for Real Time users only, that tracked that fraction of the 50 day SMA for each stock according to the fraction of the trading day that had passed up to that time. For example, Northrop (NOC) trades about 13 million shares each day and there are 390…

I agree with all trailing stop advocates...it is a needed option.
Instead of giving fixed hard stops only in the Analysis, I suggest converting hard stops to a % of purchase price also to allow for a "trailing stop" option also. It would be faster and more convenient as currently it takes time to individually calculate "hard stops to % trailing stops".
Thats what I do currently with Vectorvest stop prices.
Pros and cons welcomed.2 votes -

Backtester and Genius need to have an option to protect profits.
For example, say the criteria is 50% profit & 10% loss and you have unrealized 40% profit. There should be an automatic method to trigger a sale to protect the profits before incurring 10% loss during a downturn. Perhaps a option to sell when 50% of the gain is lost or a trigger based on Moving Average Stop.
I discussed in Tampa with Dr DiLiddo and he agreed this should be an option.

Could an "Acid Test" 50/150 day EMA search be created in Unisearch?
Dr. DiLiddo discusses his acid test (50/150) EMA for deciding to buy a stock after it has dropped; I cannot find a Unisearch tool using those parameters. Unless I am overlooking it, could you consider adding that search. Thanks. John Elliott

Add Parameter that would graph trailing stops in the price section of the graph.
I would like to see a line showing an adjustable % trailing stop price on the graph. There may other variations such as the ratchet stop etc. It would helpful to visually know where you are relative to stopping out. a position.

Replicate old system (VV US) whereby backtesting can be marched forward one day at a time.
In the old system, one could create a portfolio on a certain date and then march it forward one day at a time with one click. This was a wonderful educative tool and enabled the member to observe the behavior of the portfolio vis a vis the broad market and other factors. This is a big confidence builder in using the more aggressive and successful but highly volatile strategies. (Think bottom fishing strategies).

Backtest test name field could be longer
I'm finding the name field for each back test to be too short (at 50 characters). That probably seems like a good number of characters but when trying to organize my tests (which accumulate quite fast even without auto tester) I find I'm running out of characters.
