Eliminate Survivorship Bias at least for the S&P 500
The existing backtest tools in Vectorvest are plagued by Survivorship Bias. This makes it impossible to get an accurate simulation of the expected future statistical performance of a strategy based on historical data, because the historical data becomes more and more inaccurate the further back in time you go in the backtest.
Even if you restrict your backtest search Universe to the 500 stocks in the S&P 500 Watchlist, that too is inaccurate. The 500 components contained within the actual S&P 500 varies from year to year. A committee meets each year and retires certain components and adds replacements.

Add a function similar to IBD's RS (strength of a stock vs index).
Add a function similar to IBD's RS (strength of a stock vs index). This would help identify how much of a stocks movement is from the market and how much is stock specific (the alpha).

Please highlight the current graph settings...re: highlight active lower right tabs, and highlight current graph in pull down menu.
Please make it easier to figure out where a user is in the graphing system by highlight active settings. Your classes have taught us to use multiple different graph settings, but some very similar. Yet your system remains opaque and far behind in helping the user identify the current settings and easily take advantage of all the techniques we've learned.

Increase number of trading strategies to 10 for people with multiple accounts
I have consolidated all my trading and retirement accounts with Ally. I am allowed a total of five trading strategies which is very limiting. The strategies for retirement account are very different than a trading account. For large accounts diversity is desirable but not possible under the present system.A priori it is difficult to know what strategy will work best without experimentation.

Add more technical indicators like CCI, Twiggs MoneyFlow, etc.
VV7 is the flagship product but is lacking in technical indicators, especially compared to VV's Options Pro! We keep hearing that retail investors should watch for institutional footsteps, so what better way than Twiggs or Chaikin (competing product!?!) MoneyFlow, as well as the popular CCI, and several others to allow for more trading techniques/approaches. VV needs to keep in step with the competition and add more technical indicators! TYVM!

Show number of stocks in Watchlist, and date of last change
Show the NUMBER of stocks in a particular Watchlist, similar to that shown as PLANNED for searches. It's also a crude way of checking whether a Watchlist has had stocks added or removed.
Further to the latter, can the last date the Watchlist date had stocks added or removed be shown?

Add Derby Timing Indicator (DTI) as a Widget on Home Page and the iPhone App
As a swing trader who trades options, I am most interested in over-all market momentum. The DTI would be a great addition to the Home page.

Trailing Stop Price or Percentage
In addition to a Stop Price on a list of stocks, it would be extremely helpful if a Trailing Stop Percentage could be provided so that one wouldn't have to reset/adjust the stops on their stocks in their brokerage accounts as often.

Make MTI the underline market trend a Market Timing Signal
MTI the underline trend indicator is not considered as a market timing signal within the program, and so it can’t be used as a market timing signal for back testing and in a portfolio creation.
The underline trend would be very useful for back testing and portfolio creation.
Can this be included as a timing signal?

Add the ability to search the NEXT 100 stocks in viewers grid
Add the ability to search the NEXT 100 stocks in viewers and the next 100 and so on this will make it far easier than having to make a note of what was the 100th stock in the list.

Allow Interactive Brokers to use Robotrader in Canada. With Robotrader, one can use a stop loss which is not apparent to the market makers.
I have had thinly traded stocks hit a stop 15% below all other trades for the day. Much better if market makers can not see what is available until the order is placed after the stop is reached.

stop loss - Poor Performance Exit
I would also like to be able to set a stop to exit if the price does not achieve X% per annum pro rata N days after purchase. I don’t want to wait until it has lost a bundle to get out, I want to get out if it is not performing well enough, and get into one that is. Eg if I have a 10% per annum target, and the stock is only up 2% after 90 calendar days, I want to exit. If, having achieved 4% at 90 days (16% annual) it drops back to less than 10%…
