2. Provide much more ACTUAL training for the price

   I'm constantly bombarded with misleading advertising from VV for 'training'. When I was a new customer, I made the mistake of taking the bait, thinking that for nearly $1K/year, training in how to optimally use your tool was included. I was wrong.

   Every single time I was naïve enough to think that, I found that your offers of 'training' (yes, even the 'FREE' training) were nothing more than a disguised bait-and-switch attempt to solicit users to pay you several thousand dollars more to actually GET training. Maybe you should include training in the product cost and stop trying to upsell and nickel and dime your customers.

   Considering the tons of limitations the product has (nearly EVER request I've made has been met with a 'sorry we can't' response), and the fact that you don't simply provide the full functionality for a single price is bad enough.

   Bottom line: provide more VALUE for the price and you'll probably attract more customers, and thus increase your revenues without trying to nickle and dime your customers.

3. Make it easier to SUGGEST ideas

   I've repeatedly been told by VV 'support' to post my ideas/requests here because it seems like everything I'd like the app to do, it doesn't do, and I get some excuse why it can't.

   OK, but make it EASIER to suggest them. I was told to suggest it from within the app. That takes me to this URL. I entered the info. Then it asks me to login. Then it loses everything i'd entered in the suggestion and I have to re-enter it again in the 2nd browser tab where the login credentials had been entered. How inefficient. Allow users to do it from within the app as well, or at the VERY least, build some intelligence into your webpage so that it requires a login BEFORE anyone can waste their time entering their suggestions, only to be told they have to login, after which you don't submit the request from that same active web tab.

4. CEF’s discount to NAV in VV

   Is it possible to display a CEF’s discount to NAV in VV, through a custom field? If so, how do I do it?

   I’ve noticed that all of the CEFs show their price and value in 1:1 parity, and the RV is always 1.00 for CEFs. So it’s hard to figure out which of them offer a good value.

   If I can display a custom field for their discount to NAV, that would help.

7. Create a Derby Timing Indicator (DTI) separate for NYSE and NASDAQ.

   As it stands now when DTI is strongly positive and NYSE/Dow is climbing it is a very different picture for NASDAQ which is significantly down and diving. Your history should show that the two are not closely correlated to be of help in too many cases

11. provide a "Status" for all ideas submitted

    There is only a partial tally of the the total ideas submitted in the "Status" drop-down list.

    I counted 331 in that list that actually have a status but well over 2000 in the category list to the left.

    In short not all ideas appear to have been considered, reviewed, implemented or closed.

    A status indicator of all ideas submitted would help both the user and VectorVest by being able to quickly check the status of existing ideas and to prevent inputting ideas that already have a status.

    Also provide the status in each idea that correlates with the status drop-down list where a person can see how each idea is being, or has been, handled as they search ideas and look thru existing ideas, without having to go to the status drop-down list.

12. Recording of Jockey Club for Tue. April 20th??

    Glen Thompson gave a riveting presentation some of us came late to see, on the Jockey Club for Tuesday, April 20th. Glen ‘flashed’ a ‘speed attack’ by too quickly revealing hidden features of the VV7 software, many of us newer or long ago, now refreshing VV users have never seen before. Like Glen’s zipped-to-show perfectly a scaled QUAD graph configuration of 4 related-to-a-search stocks. Is there any way to get a recording of that entire presentation??? THX.

14. MACD

    In Protrader we can only see the MACD crossing above the signal line in the past 5 days, however it would be of great value if we could set "MACD currently crossed above the signal line", no matter when it happend in the past.

15. Better Help and Support

    I have several comments which I have numbered.
    1. You do not offer Live Chat even which is a problem because from Austria it is costly to access your Tel Helplines.
    though when you live in Austria.
    2. On the tel support line of UK it says you have an online chat support facility on http://www.vectorvest.com but I cannot see this facility. All I can see is offline chat which is actually your email support.
    3. Your German tel support line did not work over the weekend. Your German tel number was not working from Austria. 0049 800 184 4965
    
    4. I sent an email to you to each of your Facebook chats AND by Email but so far as on Monday 11:42 CET no response.
    5. I have twice rung up the UK tel support line but have hung on for ages and have no pound sign on my mobile or my telephone to leave a message!
    6. It is particularly unhelpful to be asked to click on the pound sign when ringing the Belgium helpline which is clearly the same service as the UK service. Your Belgium tel number 0032 800 261 88 which clearly goes to the same tel support system and invites me to click on the pound sign to leave a message, but as I have Austrian telephones and mobiles how can I click on the pound sign?

    My questions are as follows:-
    1. Do you supply online chat support from anywhere?
    2. Do you supply online chat via Facebook?

    I have several comments which I have numbered.

16. add a high quality Trading Journal - in a tab of it's own

    A quality Trading Journal should naturally be included within VectorVest and would add a wealth of information and feedback by having the ability to analyze trades in many ways as well as understanding what is working out well in VectorVest to ultimately improve as a trader/investor.

    Please review existing fee-based online Trading Journals and what they offer such as Trademetria.com, Tradersync.com, Tradervue.com and Edgewonk.com. and add a similar product with the best features into VectorVest.

    Top well-known traders universally emphasize keeping a journal of trades to both succeed as a trader and continually improve, but nothing like that exists in VectorVest and would only add to VectorVest core mission of helping investors/traders succeed.

    Just writing trades down with notes in a spreadsheet or paper journal is old-school and limited, but instead having trade data analyzed and the ability to visually see winning/losing actions, habits and trading results trending would add immense value to VectorVest.

    Because a quality journal should be both customizable and have many built-in logical data input fields a separate VectorVest tab is suggested or be logically placed as its own selection in an existing tab such as Viewers or Views tab.

    The ability to enter trades manually or connect to a third-party broker should be optional just as the above-mentioned online Trading Journals offer as well as other features they offer.

    Have the ability to review and analyze trading results by things like;
    Were the VectorVest signals such as Primary Wave, Confirmed Calls and DEW etc. up or down at the time the trade was opened and when closed, and which signal was followed or were any followed or considered for the trade?
    Which uni-search was used, if any?
    Was a specific system followed or not followed?
    Were trading rules broken and if so how?
    What was the reason for selling - fear, greed or rule adherence? etc.
    Was a stop loss used or not used? How was a stop loss implemented, by percent or dollar amount?
    What type of buy and sell orders were used?

    Have the option of analyzing a closed trade and if it would have changed results if bought and sold following each of the different VectorVest signals.
    What was the VectorVest ratings analysis, RT, VST, RV, CI etc. at the time the trade was opened and when closed.
    What was the rating of the industry and sector at the time of the trade when opened and closed?

    This is only a small list of many possible items and fields that over time could be extremely valuable to a trader/investors success and ultimately an added reason to keep using VectorVest.

    Please review the above mentioned Trading Journals and consider adding this valuable tool as a VectorVest improvement.

17. Date added into a watchlist

    When you add a stock into a watchlist from a search, it would be good to know the date the search found the i.e stock, and carry it into the watchlist with the stock.

18. Could you please add Volume at Price (sideways bar chart) as a parameter in the graphs facility.

    VAP gives an indication of whereabouts in the up, down and sideways movement of a stock's price the insiders are getting seriously involved. There is free charting software that will show this, but it all involves extra work flipping in and out of VV to access it.

20. Watchdog Selection for Alerts

    Currently, the Watchdog alerts are All-or-Nothing. Depending on the circumstances, I sometimes wish to get alerts from only 1 of 4 watchdogs I have created.
    Having the ability to select for which Watchdog would we want to get alert from, would be beneficial. Thanks.
