1. Track portfolio value the same way as an ETF/MF...using a "share" NAV price

   Each portfolio should have an associated "share" price based on an arbitrary NAV for each "share" when portfolio is created. Adding or removing cash from portfolio then simply buys/sells portfolio "shares". This means that portfolio performance does not change (charts especially) when you add/remove money. %up/down is based on portfolio "share" price inc/dec from initial NAV at portfolio setup time.

   Just like ETFs measure performance.

   This would also means you should add a "performance view" to the portfolio chart for the following:

   YTD
   Since inception
   Since any manually input start date and end date.

   This was used by the Motley Fool back in the 90s. They had a spreadsheet portfolio manager that illustrated the principle.

2. Closed end funds

   I don't like how all Closed End Funds have Industries and Sectors categorized as Market. Many are sector specific, so they can act differently than the general market.

   Also don't like how all Closed End Funds have RV and RS values of 1.00 across the board. Again, they can act differently than the general market.

3. Revamp the portfoilio/Genius alerts to be more streamlined and informative. Right now it’s a repetitive jumbled mess.

   There are 3 parts to this suggestion. I go into each one in detail in the attachment, but basically there are three broad suggestions:

   1. Revamp the daily email, which is basically a regurgitation of the prior day's activity log. It is currently a mess, far more data than needed, inconsistently presented, and oftentimes redundant. All that makes it far less useful than it could be. Bottom line: state only the last “stop criteria met” of the day for each position, and eliminate all of the “Stop Criteria…enabled” alerts for each position.
   2. Revamp the Activity Log of the Genius itself, so the most important information can be seen at a glance, rather than having to scroll right and left: Symbol, triggering price and stop price. Or simply implement word wrap so there’s no need to scroll back and forth.
   3. Simplify and enhance the wording of the alerts themselves

4. When there is a system outage or error, record a message at the beginning of your phone message, as well as on the VectorVest homepage.

   Subscribers need to know what's going on when something isn't working, like today's complete failure to load. A recorded and posted message would do that, and also decrease the customer service load as well.

10. Please add the ability to sort ETF's by expense ratio or fee's.

    Viewers/ETF viewer, you should be able to sort the entire ETF database by expense ratio or fees. You should be able to see the expense ratio or fee for every ETF on all platforms (US/Europe/etc).

11. List Transaction date/time as a field to choose and sort on in portfolio > layout

    List Transaction date/time as a field to choose and sort on in portfolio > layout. That way one could sort by intraday time to look at duration of trade for day trading etc. Only giving trade date is limiting as the timestamp is an important value for traders for many reasons. It should be easy to do as the data point is stored with the trade.

    Under Portfolio > reports >

    Transaction log does list "Trade Date" as mm/dd/yyy hh:mm xM format so time is recorded somewhere. While T log is open cannot return to VV program. Cannot cut/paste or sort transaction log report by columns except for trade date. can export complete table, but time consuming non-interactive and awkward. only 3 columns with a description string which is hard to break out by ticker etc since cannot string search.

    Trade History has "open" and "close" listed as mm/dd/yyy hh:mm xM. history window remains on top so have to move away to return to VV (but can use VV unlike open trans log window). no copying, searching or sorting available. complete history table can be exported but awkward and time intensive and not interactive.

13. Integrate Add on Features into VV7

    VV keeps adding tools to the basic VV7 and quite honestly at a cost. I know, I know they are all money making fabulous tools at a great price and are a real bargain..... However. How about enabling earning a new tool somehow? After 3 years you get XXX for free - for six months, for half price, or something. VV7 should be getting better and expanding as a basic tool by now, it should have Backtester, Unisearch, watchdog, etc as part of the package by and profit locker pro was just ???? sorry, too expensive. I know, it could have saved a fortune last month etc. come on gents make things more attainable for your tried and true customers, long term customers, etc. not keep going back to the well. And again, yes I know fabulous best deals in town.....

16. Add 78.6% to the Fibonacci retracement levels

    I believe adding 78.6% retracement level would allow us to see the a trend reverse at the 78.6% retracement. I have seen a couple already when using another plotting platform.

17. Bearish Long searches for Derby via RoboTrader

    I have been testing out your software and have discovered that I would need the ability to implement derby's bearish long searches for the downtrend in RoboTrader. You cannot short inside of registered canadian lira, rrsp & tfsa accounts. So this whould be a huge help to automate my registered accounts by using contra etf's in a downtrend... Thanks.

    Please change the "Stock Viewer" so it only shows "stocks" and NOT "stocks + ETF's". After many years of subscribing to VV, I do not recall ever noticing the "co-mingling" of stocks and ETF's in the "Stock Viewer". This makes it impossible to easily screen stocks! It appears that someone recently decided to rank the "Stock Viewer" based on VST for both stocks and ETF's. The "ETF Viewer" only shows ETF's so why does the "Stock Viewer" show both stocks and ETF's? Perhaps you should re-label the "Stock Viewer" as "Stocks + ETF Viewer" and create a separate tab for only stocks, labeled "Stock Viewer". Your urgent attention to this request is appreciated as I am a money manager and need to save time screening stocks without having to create complicated fllters, etc. Thank you!
