Include dividend Yield in Backtests and Portfolio Growth
For my long stocks I would like to see an option in the Backtest as well as the Portfolio that automatically calculates the Dividend Yield and re-invests that yeild into the stock. I believe this will more accurately portray my portfolio and backtests, especially in my long searches/tests.

Add the ability to hide the graph to the right of the date line to make backtesting more realistic
Have VectorVest do this for us is better than holding a piece of paper up against the monitor to be sure our assessment is not biased by knowledge of future trends.

Moving Average (50 day, 200 day) Columns in Stock Viewer
I was REALLY suprised to find that you couldn't add any Moving Average data columns in the Stock Viewer under "Layout". MA is an extremely common indicator and I can't see any reason why it shouldn't be added as an option under "Layout".
Please do this immediately! 50 day moving average and 200 day moving averages would be good to start. I'm sure it wouldn't be hard at all.

Assign ETFs an Industry, Sector and/or Style
Assign ETFs by industry, sector and or style in a column so when we screen we are not reteiving duplicates from the different ETF providers.

Opening price give more accurate Derby performance.

Show percentage of change of price between two points on a graph
Allow to draw a line between two points on a graph, displaying the percentage of change of the price from the beginning or the line to the end of the line.

Need to Add HULL moving average to ProTrader!
Many trading systems, as you know, utilize Moving Averages. The HULL MA eliminates "lag" which many other MA systems suffer from.
Please add the HULL MA to ProTrader!!!!

Provide actual MACD and Histogram values to Unisearch and Custom Fields
The current MACD and Histogram values are available to the graphs, but are not available for doing searches or creating custom fields. It would be more innovated and a better tool to accommodate a larger portfolio of styles if one could search using the actual values. Example: MACD < 0, or MACD between -1 and 0. Or to add more power, something like MACD < 0 and trending higher. Flexibility would be a good enhancement.

Bigalow's Top 12 Candlestick Patterns
I recently purchased the ProTrader in order to use more technical signals for my trading. However, from the hundreds of available technical indicators, I am surprised that VV has very few indicators available. As well, Stephen Bigalow has been involved with VectorVest and has also identified his top 12 candlestick patterns that represent the majority of significant signals, with 6 bullish and 6 bearish, but even these are not all available. Establish a ProTrader search for Stochastics Crossovers so that I can find when the %K crosses above the %D.
Establish a new search to find Stochastics Crossovers to determine when the %K crosses above or below the %D. Set up the value window to resemble that in the 12 & 26 EMA Crossover - Long. I have found that when the %K crosses above the %D (slow, 10, 10) most stocks exhibiting this crossover tend to jump in price approximately 7 - 10 days after the crossover.

Need a Way to create search with MACD readings other than just crossover
Squeeze Formation: Attached is a screen shot of a chart from my Tradestation charting program, showing what is called the "Squeeze Formation." It is a bullish formation with the MACD and ADX where the MACD is on top and the ADX on the bottom. When these two diverge with MACD rising and ADX falling for 3 days, statistically, better than 80% of the time the stock has a significant bullish move within the next 3-5 days. Anyone who has been a loyal subscriber for a period of 2+ years should begin to be rewarded. I have looked at other options in lieu of VV and have come upon some ideas that may be better suited and less expensive. How about rewarding loyalty??

Market Climate Graph - Provide option in drop down box to turn on/off display of Market Climate Case No. eg Case 7 'Bear Market Prevails'.
Currently there is no graphical display of which Market Climate Case Scenario applies for either current or historical periods. Providing an option to show individual Cases by selecting individual or multiple Case scenario numbers (1-8) or selecting 'All'.
Cases could by displayed on graph as either color coded virticle stips or virticle lines with open/close dates similar to Confirmed Market calls on Market Timing Graph.9 votes
