  1. In the Graph's tab we can graph a stock, industry, sector or watchlist and run various parameters on these. It would be nice to have the ability to graph a portfolio and run the same kind of parameters (i.e. RT, Moving Averages, etc.)

  2. Currently unisearch only allows you to use technical indicators (protrader) to screen individual stocks but not for industry and sectors.

i.e I want to search for industry group where the MACD just crossed over.

  3. Add field for essential stamp duty (tax) in buying costs of UK stocks in portfolios, as it's a percentage (.5%) every purchase is currently a different buying cost as it's added manually to the broker's fee.

  4. Based upon a 2011 paper published at S&P, there is evidence that Low Volatility equities have delivered higher compounded returns over time than high volatility equities.
I would like to be able to screen watchlists periodic Standard Deviation (Asc or Desc) to exploit this documented market anomaly. To be able to see the market's appetite for these characteristics might also enable an investor to see trends in the overall risk appetite prevailing in the market.

  5. TECHNICALS IN PLAIN VIEW:: An Example would be if the RSI says its oversold than say “oversold” on the RSI (with words) or a gauge right next to it would be awesome.

PROTRADER:: Needs an update BAD, it's too simplistic, you should be able to type in specifics like MACD is trending up/down.

WATCH DOG:: Needs to be integrated with a simultaneously searching Uni-Search.

Android App:: Without this app, it really makes me want to search for other trading platforms.

PRICE ALERTS: like trend line alerts, or plain price alerts (This is w/ the watchdog in mind)

    No BETA Really?

  7. When analyzing graphs it is DIFFICULT to place the cursor on ONE exact day (or time period). I'd like to use the right and left arrow keys to move just one exact day or time period. THANKS

  8. There are currently comment fields for subdirectories in Watchlists, where you describe how the group of stocks were selected.
But there needs to be a comment field for EACH stock - this would explain Why selected, your exit point, your completed analysis (eg Midas, DEW), and other items from your trading plan.
This way, when a stock is successful, you can look back at how and why it was selected, and LEARN from it.
It would save having to keep manual paper records.

  9. When back testing a strategy, VV is now recommending the top 5 stocks for incredible returns. By changing the Derby to represent the top 5 stocks, this will provide faster visibility for all the Derby options: Day Trading, Buy and Hold, Vary the Start Date, etc.

  10. I would like to see the dollar gain/loss for the day and the portfolio in addition to the %s. I would also like to be able to enter an actual dollar/share value for each stock position rather than a model rule. This is most helpful in managing profits ie not loosing more than 1/2 my profit after I have experienced a significant gain in a position.

  11. I set up a watch list of stocks approaching Ex-dividend date and use the Watchdog to provide an alert when one of these begins to make an upward move. That way my dividend play is only on up-trending stocks which then tends to overcome the downward price adjustment that happens on Ex-dividend date.

Now I have to individually enter the stock symbol from the Dividend Viewer selection one-by-one. It would be great if I could select them all and add them to my watchlist with one click. Even better, if I could use the symbols list in the Dividend Viewer…

  13. It would be great to be able to create a custom timing system to back test strategies. For example, I'd like to use an MTI moving average crossover to test various strategies.

  16. My employer doesn't allow its employees to download anything to their computers. Consequently, I cannot access the full version of Vector Vest 7 while at work between 9-5. I would like for you to upgrade your website in such a way that your users could simply log on to your website and access the full version (as well as our saved searches).

  18. Your standard searches use 100000 shares average as the volume criterion. I trade a significantly larger portfolio than $100,000. For example trading $1.5 M portfolio, looking to buy 20 stocks would have a buy order of $75,000 for each stock. However many of your searches have stock price criterion of >$1. That means I could be placing orders for 75% of the daily volume or on the selling side be trying to sell 75% of the average daily volume. Either would cause a major disruption to the price. An improvement would be able to change the criterion for both the…

  19. Buying individual shares during the year it is difficult to see the comparable return per share. By annualising the return per share you can compare performance at a glance. The data for this formula is already there eg
(Current Price/Bought Price times 100) times (number of days share held/365)

  20. In addition to the Ex dividend date, can the full dividend paid including Franking (%) or unfranked amounts payable be listed also.

Example: Final Ordinary Dividend - fully franked (cents per share) 30

Past dividend tables would also be great.
