add default setting for the derby
The tote board always defaults to using the current day opening price. The views are always using the closing price. Either change the default to prior close or allow the user to specify a default.

Create a search to identify consistent dividend paying stocks.
Seach should result in mid to large cap companies that have consistently raised their dividends over the past 7 or so years. Consideration should be given to payout ratio being less than .9 or 1. Good strategy for retirement portfolios.

Enhance Summary & situational reports in Backtester to include performance by year and performance / winning long, short campaigns by year
This will provide a much better indication of a strategies performance in different market conditions (I.e. 2003,5,6,7,9,10 Vs 2002,8 Vs 2004, 11 )
It would also make it easier to find a strategy that performed well in a year similar to the one you ‘think’ we might have next year.1 vote -

reword error message
a pop-up message shows 'it appears as though someone else has logged into your account' or something of that nature when the icon is clicked several times quickly - the system should know the clicks are coming from the same ip address - change the message to be more clear

Howdy,
I just started using 7.0 today (12/28/2011) and I wanted to enter one of my favorite strategies from VV 6.0. Well, I was stymied by the very first parameter! I wanted to use the Expansion Breakout operator, but 7.0 has no such creature.
Also, please allow for an unlimited (or at least far larger) number in the Highest/Lowest rankings. I tried to put in Stock = Lowest 999 Stocks by RT which is possible in 6.0. Not in 7; the limit is 500. Believe me when I say there are lots of possibilities for exploration here; that limit is unnecessarily…

Relocate Stock Symbol on Top Left Corner instead of in middle of the graph
Relocate Stock Symbol on Top Left corner of the graph:
Current graph shows the stock symbol and name right smack in the middle. All critical data lines go through that area and that makes very difficult to read critical data. My suggestion is to move the stock symbol information on top left corner of the graph that is empty almost in all cases. This improvement can easily be done and it makes the graph come out cleaner.
Similarly, while watching video, the “play” and “pause” can also be located on top left corner instead of right smack in the middle.…2 votes -

I'm running to your HK trail version and may I have some suggestions to your software:
Add Chinese Stock Name beside of English Name
- it should be more familiar to us and suited to our behave ( In case we don't need go out to the other web pages to find out the stock name in chinese, because of the major investor in Hong Kong would be like to remember according to Chinese Name)
Remove all stupid 0 and .HK when we type in stock code for searching.

Allow backtest to update.
Updating backtest from day to day for the same search over an extended period of time requires the recalculation of all points each time. This would save an amount of time by reducing a ten year run to a 5 day run. It would be at least 500 times faster.

Your PORTFOLIO list of V V U.S. is very useful guide for novice investors. You make reference to Riding The Wave on V V CA but do not provide a list. It will be a great help if you can do so instead of some reference to Derby winners which is equally difficult to pin down.
