Create a search criteria that limits the search to market conditions, such as when the SPX is up for the day or the MTI is up, etc.
Allow a search criteria that finds candidates only when certain market conditions are met. For example, one could require that the SPX be higher than the open or the day before ... or that the MTI have risen or be higher or lower than some number. Obviously, it might help to have several different choices for such criteria (whether it be the SPX, MTI, BSR, etc.).

Individual Columns for Sector and Industry Rankings
Looking to see 3 separate columns for RT Rankings for industry and sectors. the columns should read monthly, weekly and daily changes for the RT rankings. This will help us to see what industries and sectors are moving to take advantage of those stocks.

Volatility Stop Loss over Price
I strongly suggest to include Volatility SL over price. It will help tremendously in interpretation of short term Support/Resistance levels for excellent entry point decisions.

Stop Gain and Stop Loss Optimizer Request
Suggest Backtest be modified to take a given strategy and find optimal stops for it using steps of 1-N% specified by the user on the upside profit stop and trailing stop.. I felt sorry for Todd in his July 6 presentation where he spent all that time doing all the stops manually. All that should be done by the automation regardless of how much time it takes.

all databases in one interface
I'm using 3 databases: US, UK and EUR. 3 logins and most inconvinient: I have to make all searches 3 times, my watchlists are split over 3 dBases. No general management possible...

When entering stocks from different searches into the same watchlist it would be nice to be able to tell which search they came from, maybe an optional column with the first 2 letters of the search name? Or a notes column?

Yesterday, the VectorVest software worked on my Galaxy Note 10.1. Today, the software is not supported but the new app is incompatible.
The new software is in the Google Play Store, so exactly which Android devices are supposed to be able to run it?

Notes that can move or remain stationary and appear on all graphs for a stock
Another software provider has very good note functionality.
1. Notes appear on all graphs for a symbol.
2. Notes can be moved.
3. Notes can appear anywhere on a graph and can be set to automatically move with the graph or remain stationary.
4. Text color is configurable. I like the Vector vest background color adjustment.7 votes -
Add a column to show what “Todays $ Gain” is.
When I make a portfolio can I add a column to show what “Todays $ Gain” is. If there is no way for me to add that column now could you add that column in an update? It would be great to see what the dollar gain is for that day with out having to get out the calculator.

Stock Name/Ticker code/Industry/Sector to be displayed in top horizontal bar. The water mark option makes the chart clutterd.
The Water mark option on the chart makes the chart cluttered. Place the Strock Name, Ticker Code, Industry and Sector in the top horizontal bar. This way the needed information is displayed and not in the way.

Calculate the percentage gain if present stock price returns to a previous high,reached over say, 1yr, 6m, or even 3m period
I have a search which looks for high value stocks which have dropped below a moving average and now are moving above it. I want to be able to quickly see the percentage gain if the stock goes back to its previous high (resistance level). On each graph, the high price is clearly marked with a yellow triangle with an H inside it. I would like to be able to access that calculation of the high point in order to make a custom field that subtracted present price from previous high and used that as a divisor for the previous…

Right Click to adding stocks to watchlist from unisearch
When adding a stock to a watchlist from unisearch, I currently need to right click on the stock, left click on add to watchlist, select the watchlist from the popup box, and click ok. Since the ok button is actually below my task bar most of the time, I need to click on the top bar and drag the box up before being able to click ok. It would be much more efficient if my watchlists would pop out from the add to watchlist item so that I could quickly add the stock to a watchlist. At a minimum, the…

Options features for portfolio manager and backtester.
Currently one can only add option premiums. With the increasing interest and your recent webcasts on options trading, it would be helpful to be able to enter more option trade types in the portfolio manager and the bactester.

Selling Mode in Back Tester
I would like the back tester to fill sell orders based on a percentage of volume.
For example if the volume for the day was 1 million shares and the test owns 4 million shares when a stop is met I would like it to only sell a reasonable amount based on volume. Even if it takes a few days.

Vectorvest should make it possible to save a stock in a watch from the graph viewer. As of now I find that it is extremely laborios to write down the stock and to go back to save afterward it the from the search list

Portfolio Graph Intraday Change
On the Portfolio Graph (Intraday), when you select "Show Change" it should show the change for the day.
It shows the % change and $ change for the Portfolio since inception, same as the EOD Graph.
Would be nice to see Percent Change and Dollar Change for the day.

Let users set new default values for backtesting
A trading system that works for a $100,000 portfolio may not work well for a $10,000 portfolio. Suppose you usually want to backtest using an account size and commission rate that match your own account. Right now you have to change these account values each time you run a backtest. If the user could set different default values (instead of the current defaults of $100,000 account size and $9.95 per trade), it would save time and effort when running a series of backtests.
