Add field for essential stamp duty (tax) in buying costs of UK stocks in portfolios
Add field for essential stamp duty (tax) in buying costs of UK stocks in portfolios, as it's a percentage (.5%) every purchase is currently a different buying cost as it's added manually to the broker's fee.

Single sign-in for multiple markets.
VV software should allow subscriber to toggle between screens for multiple markets (as many as already subscribed) via a single sign-in. Can it be made possible?

There are some technical challenges to make this happen, but it is possible in the future…
For now, the best solution is to run multiple VectorVest 7 instances simultaneously. You can login to VectorVest 7 multiple times as long as you select a different market for each instance. Thanks for the feedback!

Would like the ability to program the genius to keep all long positions open at the end of a trading session and to sell all the shorts even
Would like the ability to program the Genius to keep all long positions open at the end of a trading session and close all the shorts even if they have not met their stop criteria.

It would be nice if you could automatically change the stops when entering a down market condition even though you select no action
When entering a down market condition and you select no action, being able to change the stops automatically would be very helpful... I know it can be done manually but automation is needed for back testing.

NEW ENTRY TO MIDAS WATCH LIST
It would be helpful to create a way in the search parameter that would allow a determination of the latest entry into the watch list by using the "Date/Time" parameter.

Ability to add a stop to protect half of the profits on a position.
Dr. D always says to never give back more than half of your profits. We need to be able to have an over riding stop that will stop a position out if it gives back half of your profits in that position.

Software bug in Backtester
In VV7 Backtester It is difficult, if not impossible, to reproduce the "Easy Rider" strategy as demonstrated in the 3 Easy Rider videos of 2011 (VV6 was in use at that time).
The problems are:
1. It is only possible to setup Long or Short trades and not both unless Market Timing is checked (Easy Rider requires both Long and Short trades and does not require Market Timing).
2. Once Market Timing is checked it is necessary to elect one Search in the setup process which persists throughout the strategy run. This frustrates selecting the appropriate searches from the Derby…1 vote -

BETA APP -- % gain/loss in Portfolio is wrong. Either use decimal value or %...not both at same time.
Noticed that the portfolio gain on individual stocks is incorrect because both the decimal value and % sign are combined. Off by a factor of 100.

Stock Split
How about including a function in the Manage Portfolio drop down list that will enter stock splits? e.g., I've had a stock split 3 for 1 so I tried to simply add shares at a zero value. The program does not allow this.

Establish a ProTrader search for Stochastics Crossovers so that I can find when the %K crosses above the %D.
Establish a new search to find Stochastics Crossovers to determine when the %K crosses above or below the %D. Set up the value window to resemble that in the 12 & 26 EMA Crossover - Long. I have found that when the %K crosses above the %D (slow, 10, 10) most stocks exhibiting this crossover tend to jump in price approximately 7 - 10 days after the crossover.

Attach personal notes to a stock
User should be able to attach personal notes to a stock that are saved and returned to the user for future sessions. To begin with they can be simple text notes, but they would be more empowering if the notes were able to have smart elements such as Time Stamping the note entries, attaching alarms and triggers to alert the user to review the notes.

VVC analysis in nightly color guard review
Dr. Diliddo, 1. I believe the VVC gives a biased view to the markets in which the majority of investors have no interest. The VVC acts more like the IWM than any other market. Either purge the VVC of the thousands of stocks that investors have little to no interest in, or better yet, track a legitimate market like the wilshire 5000, or some such. The point being that you should be tracking a market that investors can use as a direct investment (is that against the SEC?). If you can not do this, then you need to give a…

Make the Simulator and Variator function with VV7
The true test of an investment process is its success over time. A one shot test of a process may or may not function well in other time periods. The Derby will tell what is working this moment. While that is of value I would like to discover if a process that is suitable to my risk parameters works over time.

With this global economy I think it would be useful to have a program that sorts and evaluates ADR's.

QuickList Change and %Change numbers visible until near next day's open
Don't zero out the Change and %Change numbers so soon. I'd like to be able to see what the previous day's results were during the hours leading up to the open (e.g. 6 hours before the open I would still like to see the results from the prior day)
